Crytek will you release 64-bit.exe with DX11 patch?

Don't understand why anyone would by a 32bit OS.

People don't even know they want. first fight because there is no support for DirectX 11, and began to mourn without leaving the patch.

Who upgrades to a 64-bit OS just for this? I′d say his "biching" is quite justfied.
I can't think of a better reason to upgrade to 64 bit, besides windows 7 64 bit is awesome.

Yes, but reinstalling Windows for a game, is just stupid... Ah, we don't need high-res textures anyway...

If you buy an OEM computer from a store then most likely it will come with 64bit Windows if you have 4Gb of ram(my wife's did). If you have less than 4Gb of ram then is will come with 32bit Windows, so it's not people's fault.

Blame Microsoft and OEMs for not giving you the choice.

It's not stupid, not if you're a gamer, this is why most of us have uber rigs, ladies and gentlemen, welcome to next-gen graphics, all it's gonna cost is a nice GPU and a 64 bit OS.
Software re-installation is piss easy, i'm sure you could do it TS but for everyone else use google and install 64 bit, or try buying it if your rig can handle the upgrade.

All computers now as of i believe since the release of Windows 7 so that would be 09 come shipped with windows whatever 64bit. And most windows 7 oem are 64bit. and most retail give you the option of 32 or 64 on the same disk. That's for the people still running LOL AMD K6-2 450MgZ.<------ Yes Im that old. And i still have my very first build too so svck it! I was working for a place called Software City in Youngstown Ohio and i got all my parts cheep. So i built it and here what it consisted of. AMD K6-2 450 at 480Massive over clock a!! ATI Diamond XL Rage 8MB VGA. 64 megs of ram. 14in crt monitor.. windows 95 and a few months later windows 98. I was Rocking Duke Nukum.

Crysis 2 is large address enabled anyway, but the DX11 page explicitly says you need a 64 bit OS to run the high res texture pack. So one maybe included.

Im sure they will release 64bit.exe

but i remember back with HL2 high rez textures with Cinematic Mod all you needed was a 64bit OS not an actual 64bit executable

Reminds me of the good old days when I play Need for Speed II at 320*240 with software rendering!
I'm sure I still got a IntelPentiumMMX233 somewhere at back of my drawers, shame that I can't find that AMD486DX100 anymore~

Needs potentially 2gb. 32bit can't use more than 2gb per process.
That's not far fetched it the pack uncompressed is as big as rumored (5gb??).
Even Crysis 1 got to 1.8gb mem and the steam version of that doesn't even have a 64bit exe -___-

Edit: There's already a thread on the "32bit=less than 2gb" thing.
