Crytek woke up! YAY

Post » Thu Dec 31, 2009 11:35 am

So finally it seems the Community Managers (at least they) woke up..
We got replies to threads fast, really fast.

We got information about the new patch WITHOUT a date, that means they let us know what their progress is.

They replied to someone asking "what about DX11" with "we have DX11 media prepared soon" (or sth. like that)

Thanks Crytek.

Its great it really is. But do you really have to start a whole new thread for that?

What's wrong with showing appreciation? Everyone is so quick to hate but there's 0 love thrown around. This type of thread is just the opposite of the normal subject for threads in this swamp of a forum.

I thought that too, thanks for covering my opinion :D

Thank you Crytek. Looking forward to ANYTHING POSITIVE from you :D

I am SURE you will make Crysis 3.
I'm happy to be part of a community like this... :D

Am I right or did Cry-Adam remove his post about the "mind-blowing" DX11?

Of course they'll make Crysis 3, now the game is multiplatform it can be half as good and sell twice as well. I just hope they take the DICE route for the next installment. Develop it for the PC, and then scale it back for consoles. That way everybody wins!

We're still waiting for a proper successor to Crysis and Warhead.

we dont need the "YAY" part because the community managers have always been hands on with the community. And Cry-Adam cannot post info unless the crytek management approves it. Crytek was always awake

Agreed, the patch update, XP weekend and recent caption comp' show they are try to engage with the community. You only have to read the patch review thread to see the appreciation.

Nice to see the vibe, makes for a good change.

I just noticed this today as well, and I must say that some of my anger over this unfinished release is finally fading away. Thanks for the communication Crytek!

So I read a post about "DX11 be mind-blowing". .. GREAT
I read a post about "own content" when the editor will come and we need to host it somehow.. and Crytek will talk about that later.. YAY

I'd say it's a win win situation!

Well I never complained here because the communication has been far better than on a forum for a certain FPS game released last November. There was literally NO community management. Instead it was, "follow me on twitter if you want the latest info - but realise we will only give updates about the console versions and hype all kinds of stuff you don't care about."

Besides there hasn't been an FPS in recent times that has been released without bugs, so as long as there is support, all (or most) will be forgiven.

Anyways thanks for the extra effort.

After all this flaming since the release I think this thread is deserved. Say what you want but five patches in three months, DX11 and mod tools support, DLC they are doing more than much other developers.

I hope they keep it coming.

I agree. i just hope this update with the tweak to anti cheat does a better job with encrypting files. I love the new patch coming and i hope it is what it is building up to be,. Sad thing is i got rid of my second video card cause i change out every year or less with my income-tax. and now the DX11 is on the horizon and boy I'm gonna probably have to change the video card Bios to allow voltage tweak and overclock.

There's a couple of threads about cheaters this weekend, but I think even that has become a lot better since release. Not perfect, but better. There is even people coming here that got their stats reset because they were tampered with.

So it's good to Crytek being on top of the problems. They were much too silent the last weeks, but I love it that they are being more open now and I hope it stays that way; works great over at DICE that way. We are a demanding platform and we might not always share the game design decisions, but I truly appreciate the company input these days.
