Ok im gonna adress all those points in a quite long post so if you don't like reading - do me a favour and GTFO.
Also going by the same token, if you're going to post a once sentence answer that is either off topic or meant to insult me or anyone for that matter - please forget about it it won't work, don't waste everyone's time.

I am aware as is 90% of the Crysis 2 community that have tried the multiplayer that there are cheating scumbags out there. I also aknowlege the fact that Crysis 2 lacks the sufficient anti-cheat system which seems a bit odd. However going around the gaming forums, sparking up useless topics telling everyone "news" they already know IS NOT GOING TO CHANGE ANYTHING! All that it does is it floods the forum and the posts that actually do have some good points to them get pushed down and have to be BUMPED by force in order to stay anywhere near the top of the page. Crytek accounced that they are working on the anti-cheat solution and it could be out by the end of this week. I am sure that 80% of this community do not understand the effort of coding a game or a tweak for it. I understand that a valid argument is that this game should have come with the sufficient anti-dikebag protection, but that does not give you a green light to curse Crytek to hell.

As a PC gamer and hardware (semi)enthusiast, I understand that people invest a LOT of money into their rigs and EXPECT the best quality possible - now i don't see anything wrong with that because you have invested your hard earned money into a system that is able to preform at the highest possible level of graphical quality.
This however becomes OUT OF THIS WORLD R****DED when you start posting up saying "I'm not going to play this game - NO DX11!!" or "REFUND NOW! NO DX11!!" OR "GIVE DX11 PATCH NOW!! SCUMBAGS!".
Listen to me, if you are not going to play this game because MAXIMUM TESSELATION is disabled - do kill yourself. If you are SO DAMN OBSESSED with MAXIMUM GRAPHICS, do go outside and i'm sure you will find that each object has over 9000 polygons/inch^2. Before someone points it out, yes i do have a GPU that supports DX11 - but do i see difference between DX11 and DX9? Yes i do, but it is SO DAMN MINISCULE i would never not play a game because of such pathetic little change.

People saying they were rank 3 then next time they logged in they were rank 50. If you honestly reply to one of those topics you must have double digit IQ as it is CLEARLY some attention seaking CRYTROLL with 1 post.

I would also like to add that they announced that Crysis 2 wasn't launching with DirectX11 before the launch.. so everybody should of known that the game wasn't going to have DirectX11... at least at the launch.

This thread has neither been mature, nor civil. However, I will give it this: A lot of the hatred and douchebaggery on this forum has been unjustified. Flagrant hatred does nothing, neither to fellow posters or to Crytek.

I dont' understand why so many people are angry with how frusted others are and trying to let Crytek know. I'm not saying your points are invalid, there are many completely unconstructive and immature and even overly aggressive comments/posts but so what. It's just a reaction to a very dissapointing situation for many. I happen to be one that is extremely upset and want to see many fixes changes.

It's the moderators job to make sure posts that are truly innappropriate get removed. Otherwise I believe we should let the community react and continue to voice its concerns and desires.

I've said it before, the feedback we provide creates the demand that will shape the product that Crytek will provide...hopefully. Eventually the rage will die down and we'll be left with the reality of the issues we face and it's our responsibilty to keep voicing them.

I prefer it to be tactful and constructive but it is what it is...we can't control it. If you want see more constructive and mature posts then create them. Otherwise it's just complaining about complaining and stirring the pot.

I couldn't care less about DX11 here.
What I do care about is that Crysis 2 is a Far Cry from Crysis and Warhead.
Huge portion of the textures are of inferior quality, and all the awesome features that was standard in previous games like destructible environments is not in Crysis 2.
Whats more 90% of the CryEngine 3 physics and destruction stuff they showcased in Crysis 2 seems to not be there, nor do we even have the option to customize our graphics AT ALL without screwing around with Autoexec files.

Bottom line... this is so much more than just no DX11.

i agree with ^^^^. the only thing i have an issue with is the fact people seem to think that DX11 is "Be all End all"

I've read that about every game that has come out for the PC in the last two years...and yet they all make money and do quite well, and the people whining go out and buy the next big game. So, yea, whatever. There are those that don't like this game; but I would say many more do like it. Forums get spammed by the vocal minority who are generally never happy with anything, so ranting and raving here is for the most part ignored.

So true. Especially with most game reviews being inaccurate as ever, it's no surprise there's a almost a riot going on by frustrated customers. A release like this asked for it, no way around it.

i just tell what i feel. i love crysis 2
but you know, cheaters, bags and ea are so bad and i cant wait for bugfixing patch so much that i will never buy crytek games anymore! D:

why dont people understand about the games graphics. while good< the issue is it looks WORSE than the first 2 games. Last time I checked that was not called a good thing. Crysis has always been the PC beast and Crysis 2 is a port at best. While it is fun they removed too much what made the first game special. I loved throwing enemies through shacks to see it collapse upon them. The ultra speed and ramming into enemies. High resolution textures not this blended low res crap. It looks like Crysis 1 on medium-high. Woot optimization! No its not optimized just theres less to render. Thats lazyness.

I couldnt care less about DX11, its a luxury not a necessity for this game. But not being able to log in for online and all the hackers and bugs in the game is getting annoying.

Forgot to mention the CFX stobe light **** fest and the SLI flicker.

Also forgot to mention countless other bugs in the game such as the alien goo stuff you get from the dead alien bodies magically leaving your inventory.

All in all, this post was one big *yawn*

OP is 100% wrong on all accounts. The fact that you are enough of a sheep to stand up and defend this fetid POS, rushed, console port, of a cod rip off make me sick.

Not only do you ignore all the major problems, graphics glitches, unable to log in, unable to retrieve pre-order codes, multiplayer progress / xp / unlocks / ranks being reset, server crashing or not starting, game crashes, and a multitude of others, but the ones you address you do so poorly and with little or no understanding of the issues involved.

Please GTFO this forum, go buy an xbox and twiddle your thumbs like the rest of the 6th graders out there.

They didn't announce it... Almost everything before release pointed out that the game would most likely come with DX11 until information from a nvidia GTX 590 presentation leaked on some swedish website. Only after that information leaked did things start going crazy. Both Crytek and Nvidia failed to address these rumors and when the game hit, the rumors were true. Gamers were upset and rightfully so. Nvidia mysteriously pulled the game from their DX11 page and no news regarding the patch was provided. It really was bad communication on both Nvidia's and Crytek's part.
