CTD caused by Unofficial DLC Patches?

Note that this post contains plot spoilers regarding where I'm at mid-game in the plot.

I have just finished the part where the Enclave killed my father. After going through the Citidel, I wanted to go back to Rivet City. Passing by the Jefferson Memorial, there are force fields around it. Once the force fields appear onscreen, if I walk away from the memorial, the game CTDs; and if I try to save my game, the game CTDs.

So I tried a bit of google research, and I got the impression that Broken Steel has some element that involves the Jefferson Memorial (I haven't made it that far, so please no spoilers). Based on that info, I tried disabling Broken Steel, but still CTD. Then it occurred to me that I have the unofficial FO3 patches installed, so I should install the Unofficial Broken Steel patch along with Broken Steel. Did that, and I was able to save my game with the force fields onscreen for the first time. Then I tried it with Broken Steel active but the Broken Steel unofficial patch disabled, and it also worked fine to save. Here's my mod list (with the Broken Steel Unofficial Patch disabled):

Ahhh, the Broken Steel UF3P bug.

I don't have a link to the fixed ESP for that, does someone else?

Heh, it's good to know that it's a known issue, and that it has been fixed. I've gotta head off to work, but if no one else is able to give the link to a fixed ESP for the unofficial patch, I'll probably be able to hunt it down this evening. Perhaps I just goofed and downloaded a previous version of the unofficial patch myself.

Thanks for the feedback.

Thanks, sparky. :)

Got that bookmarked now in case I see another topic on the BS UF3P bug.

PS: Do you have a fullsize of your avatar? I got a cool idea for a food item...

Hello MadCat :) Very welcome :)
I don't have a full size, I found it on the web and when I saw it... I HAD to have it lol. I wish I could give the person credit, but there wasn't any info that I could find. Very sorry :(
