Running a Steam edition of the game on a Vista Machine.
Mods I have installed are:

OOO
OBSE
Oblivion XP
Supreme Magicka
Darnified UI
QTP3 Redimized
Quest Award Leveler
Enhanced Weather
Enhanced Water
Fast Exit 2
Unofficial Patch(es)

I just got all my recommendation and went to the arcane university. When I try select the type of enchantment to apply the game crashes. I've tried disabling Supreme Magicka in OBMM, then launching the game but I get the same issue.

Sounds a bit weird. It would be helpful with version numbers of the mods and load order, easiest provided via Wrye Bash.

Well I had not been using Wyre Bash. After installing it and using it's load order sorting feature it seems to have resolved itself.
