After using the override code on Eden and trying to leave Raven Rock, I get to the door, the loading screen appears and then, rather than show me explosions and Fawkes, the game immediately crashes.

Did you try disabling your mods to see if it can be linked to them?
Try disabling all and if it's working re-enable them step-by-step.

However, I once had a very persistant crash on approaching Jefferson Memorial which I could not link to any specific mod.
Only thing I could do was using the console to teleport inside...
