Im running Fallout3 GOTY edition through steam, and it crashes with a blackscreen after selecting new game and a loading screen, no movie or anything is played.

Unless I'm reading this wrong, you don't have a proper graphics card and the chip that's processing your graphics is not strong enough. Since you're on a laptop, it's unlikely you'll be able to upgrade. Sorry.

Definitely not reading it wrong. That Intel Integrated Graphic Chipset cannot run this game out of the box. And this laptop very likely cannot be upgraded with a better chipset/card.

Add to that that since FO3 was purchased off Steam, the OP is going to find it difficult to get a refund too. Steam will just point out that the min requirements are displayed clearly on the store page.

Really? Thats surprising since I can run new vegas. Oh well

They seemed to make the requirements for NV a bit lower after seeing how many people came here with problems on Intel Integrated chipsets.
