CTD on save out of nowhere

Hello there. I'm new to PC gaming and modding and I'm generally loving it, if not for a few issues I'm having, one being CTD on save. It's not the first time it's happened, but last time I simply loaded an older save and kept on playing: no problems there. This time it's slightly different. I've tried going back to older and older saves but nothing's changed: whenever I save (be it "long" save, quicksave, autosave), I get CTD. It all started once I went to Bleak Falls Barrow after finally deciding to advance the main quest. I'm using Alternate start. So yeah, outside of Bleak Falls Barrow, I tried saving and CTD. I went to an earlier save in the Sleeping Giant's Inn and tried saving: I was fine. So I went back up the mountain: CTD. I loaded an earlier save in my main house (Elysium Estate) and slept: save with autosave no problem. Then I tried saving manually after waking up: CTD. I loaded an older save in Breezehome (I already have Breezehome thanks to Alternate start) and saved manually no problem; then I went up to Dragonsreach to buy some soul gems, saved and CTD. Because I'm scared of crashes, I often save, so I can tell fairly certainly that there were no problems before, as I saved masses of times with no CTDs. Ever since yesterday, though, it's started. Nothing's changed in my load order, so that can't be it. It's not a matter of Alternate start and the BFB mountain anymore because it's like all of my saves are now corrupted. What should I do, besides starting a new character? I'm playing a test character anyway, so I can get a feel of mods and stuff, so deleting him wouldn't be too bad, as I was prepared for it from the start.

What happens when you disable your mods?

Which mods should I disable? All of them? Wouldn't that cause some issues? Like SkyRe, for instance.

So what you do is, make a new manual save. You will load this save after this is done. Then disable your mods and dont overwrite any saves and dont load autosaves.

Uncheck mods and see what happens. You can even leave Skyre enabled. Try to disable other mods. ENable all mods again and load the manual save afterwards.

I'll try that. As long as I CAN make the save, as it's almost always CTDing when saving. Thanks.

What really confuses me is why it's happening now. Nothing has changed, but now it crashes, whereas it didn't before. Also, it SOMETIMES (most times) crashes. For instance I just loaded a save at the bottom of BFB; I manually saved and it worked. Then I rode up to the entrance of BFB, got off the horse, tried saving again and CTD. Modding really does take some patience and getting used to, huh?

Thinking back, problems started because of Convenient horses. I was at the entrance of BFB and called the horse with the horn but it didn't come. I loaded a previous save and Convenient horses was working again but when I tried saving, that's when the CTD started. I tried reinstalling CH but MO just told me there's a missing esp, so I'm downloading CH again. I hope this'll solve the problem.

EDIT: no, that wasn't it, I still got CTD. The search continues.
