CTD when doing any kind of loading : V

Hi

I am playing a modded Skyrim, using mods from Nexus, and have posted this on the nexus-forums without any luck. Trying to see if I find any help here.

So here's the problem.

Whenever I try to do any kind of loading, my client crashes to desktop without any warning. I can start up the game and load a save, but whenever I try to exit/ enter a building, wait, sleep, open up another save, anything that takes to any form of loading after the game has started -> CTD.

I have tried to clean with Tes5edit and get a load order from LOOT, but still no changes. This all happend after I installed Dual Sheat Redux (and yes, I did remember to patch and have done so after any changes to weapons and/ or load order). I have all the required mods to run DSR, and it runs perfectly, well except for the crashing...

I have tried to reinstall the game and the mods without any luck. I even reset my computer to factorymod (took me a day) and installed everything all over again, just to get the usual CTD on loading.

Spoiler: in the post or reply screen, in the top bar of icons etc., it's the third icon from the left, click it, click the dropdown arrow, it's the next to last one in the list.

I see it's in the load order, but have you run finis? checked the appropriate patches? ( I think the skeletal arm fix is for XPMSE, but I could be wrong) Did you by any chance watch the 2nd video down in the DSR mod page...its very good and I recommend it... it helped me when I had an issue.

SKSE & Java up to date?

I'm afraid I don't know enough about load orders to know if something is out of place.

This isn't too likely but I thought I'd mention it. My friend had crash issues loading his saves while the ABT arrow/bolt recovery mod was loaded, shouldn't really have been the cause but it certainly was in that case.

Regarding your load order, right off the bat I can tell you that the unofficial patches need to fall directly after their parent. ie;

Skyrim.esm
Update.esm
Unoffical Skyrim Patch.esp
Dawnguard.esm
Unoffical Dawnguard Patch.esp
Hearthfires.esm
Unoffical Hearthfires Patch.esp
Dragonborn.esm
Unoffical Dragonborn Patch.esp

LOOT should do this for you, so if you used it you may make sure you are actually sorting them with the proper function.

The only other thing I see is that Realistic Ragdolls needs to fall after your skeleton XPMSE although the install order is the other way around.. install ragdolls first then let Groovtama's overwrite everything.

I would start with getting the load order going in the right direction then troubleshoot from there.

I used the FNIS patch and chose the correct options. Java and SKSE are both up to date. I did follow the second video when installing. Couldn't have done it without it ^^

Tried to disable it - no changes.

I did every patch behind the parent-file at the beginning and changed simply to see if it improved, which it did not. Fixed now.

As for the load order, ran it again with LOOT and put Realistic Ragdolls after XPMSE and did both the FNIS- and DSR-patch again. No changes - still CTD. Can′t even save the game..

Why are you even using old outdated Unofficial patches? Ditch them and update to the all-in-one USLEEP. Not exactly going to solve your problem but one less thing to worry about.

What are your system specs?

Are you loaded with hi res textures?

Have you tried running a papyrus log to see what's going on in your game?

How old is your char? If you've installed/uninstalled mods during your playthru it could be left over garbage getting in the way.

Ooof I didn't catch that one.. like I said I am not that good at mod lists...but I would go through your mod's and check to see if some of them aren't dependent on USLEEP and not the individual patches.
