Cumulative Speculation related to TES:V

Post » Thu May 26, 2011 11:42 pm

I think if Beth is going to make another ES game, they won't be in any hurry to tell us anything about it.
Not after all the fighting that took place here among members concerning Oblivion before it's release. I could be wrong about this, but most of you remember this place was a war zone and kept the Moderators working overtime trying to keep the peace.
Just my speculation.

No, it wouldn't end, it would then be speculation about all the different things that'll come from guessing by the picture, from graphics, to AI to skill systems, it'll soon go to things which have little to do with screenshot things like voice-acting, if you don't believe me you haven't been on this thread forum for very long, i'be only been here since summer and already can guess the personality of the forums.

Yes what I meant was speculation about the game's release would virtually end; of course there would be an explosion of threads interpreting the screenshot and what have you. But as I said, all the antisepation resulting from the screenshot is the best part.

All the In development games on Bethesdas site have a release date which means they are finished or need a few more tweaks. These are only being Published by Bethesda but that still means they have to sort out stuff with the company making the games. Now that these games will be released soon Bethesda will have more time for It's up-coming project. There also is Fallout New Vegas but not much has been given out about that.

I'm about 75% sure we won't see anything yet this year, but about 100% really hoping I'm wrong. ^_^

It's very possible. Fallout 3 was announced a year and 2 months after Oblivion was released. December is 1 year and two months after Fallout 3's release.

Pete was quick to confirm that it's not one of the various iPhone projects that have been bandied about at id or Bethesda, nor is it the game that Todd Howard's development team at Bethesda Game Studios is working on.

This made most people think that there won't be a 09 announcement. But could this just be another Bethesda lie so we're suprised when it isn't true?

You think?

Maybe not?

I doubt they're lying about that one. In my opinion, I think it's logical that Bethesda will announce Bethesda late 09 or early 10.

I've given up on speculation at the moment. I'm just going to be patient for several months, as I figure we aren't going to get any information right now. I'll put myself on hold until we hear something new, or to around Oct-Nov.

That would be correct that they have different teams. But I don't think there is a team for different series. There is a team (Zenimax) that is apparently working on a MMO. Then another team for the open world rpgs (fallout, tes). That being said there is a possibility Zenimax can make a TES MMO and at the same time there could be a TES V, that's highly unlikely but im just speculating. I use that example because I think those departments are allowed to use all the series they own like TES and Fallout. But I'm not too sure what each department is called and what its broken up into, someone else can clarify better on this.

No, they don't. Another studio that's owned by their parent company is.

That's the way I understand it as well. The question at this point really isn't IF they're working on TES, but rather when we'll see some official information released.

That's St. Jiub.

Fixed it for ya :frog:

I like to believe the next chapter will allow the player to reveal him/herself as one of several archtypes from the arcturian heresy. No numidition required, since all branches support each other by design.

The question at this point really isn't IF they're working on TES, but rather when we'll see some official information released.

The final novel's release, tucked in the back.

I personally think it's highly logical to announce The Elder Scrolls V in late 09, or early 10. The reason is because Fallout 3 was announced 1 year and 2 months after Oblivion was released I believe. December is 1 year and 2 months after Fallout 3 was released. And also, Bethesda isn't working on an expansion pack as large as Shivering Isles for Fallout 3. I think it's reasonable to assume TESV will be announced shortly after the first book is released.

Dammit don't get my hopes up like that! :P

Todd Howard has been mentioning how much he <3's the iphone. Perhaps they're making an iphone game.
I typed in, skyrim.com to see if it would redirect to a website but it brought me to some wireless/mobile internet page.
Whats odd is none of the links work.

I think its there to cover up something!

I would be SOOOOO pissed if they wasted Skyrim on some 16 bit sprint game.

Bethesda Game Studious doesn't develop wireless/mobile games..the Elder Scrolls Travel games were developed by Vir2L Studios (parent company is ZeniMax Media just like Bethesda).

Not yet they don't. Who says they can't develop a handheld game? I don't think that's it, though. There's definately more to this story. Seems weird, but here's the thing that tingles my spidey sense: Would they really make a bunch of merchandise, as mentioned in the trademark, for a mere handheld game? That strikes me as odd.
