Yes but Halo: Reach has already been announced, so unless they announce Halo 4 or something it can't be Halo.

i too hate games that are over hyped. Thats why I didnt get GTA IV untill 6 months ago, like a year after its release. And I cant stand the hype for Halo. Yes I've played the game, no I dont think its the best thing since sliced bread.

The only people claiming it is the best thing since sliced bread are hardcoe fans and reviewers. I think Halo is an excellent and very well made series. Halo:CE WAS revolutionary for console FPS games (not FPS though, as PC FPS games were more evolved).

But Halo is beside the point. I certainly hope the "big announcement" is Bethesda (and of course, TES V), but with so many companies there it could be anything.

Publishers contributing exclusive new content to the VGAs include 2K, Activision, Disney Interactive Studios, Electronic Arts, LucasArts Entertainment, Microsoft Game Studios, THQ, Ubisoft, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, and more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Oblivion was published by 2K, so it's possible we may see TESV announced. Of course, 2K publishes a lot of games so it really doesn't add any evidence. And it says "and more" so they could just have not listed Bethesda Softworks.

I have a feeling all this hype for an announcement tomorrow will end in disappointment, but I certainly hope I'm wrong. Bethesda has to announce TESV sometime (the idea that it wont be made is completely ridiculous) but until then we just have to buckle down and wait it out :shrug:

It could be announced tomorrow, but I highly doubt it. I still think it won't be announced until next year or so. But like I have said many times, I'm quite happy to be proved wrong.

Never gonna happen.

It's not impossible, but Bethesda aren't even on the list, and if you remember, both Oblivion and Fallout's announcements (both exclusives to some gaming magazine) were preceded by a couple of months of teasers from Beth itself. Fallout even had its forums up before the announcement was made, and it's possible Oblivion did too, though I can't quite remember.

Well note that this is the list of publishers, and Bethesda is not publishing its own game. So it is possible that either a) 2K or some other publisher is representing Bethesda, b ) they did not make it onto the list in time before it was posted on the internet. Thank you for the information though.
