You got bitten by one of the diseased little vermin in V81. There's only one dose of the cure.

Spoiler
huh, I either got lucky and didn't get bitten by an infected molerat, (but I know I got attacked during the quest)...or I accidentally did the bug that is on the wikia, (I do remember trying different dialogue options, and reloading a couple times)...

I saw I had the disease waaaay later, after I given the only dose to save that boy. After like 10 levels after that mission.

My char didn't had much hp in the first place cause I started with 1 endurance and rushed to that vault to get Overseer's Guardian at like level 5 or something. So yeah, that missing hp was kind of a big deal.

And since Bethedsa didn't mind telling me the disease would handicap me for the rest of the game with no cure....I didn't mind using a console command to give myself a second dose of that serum.

So glad I dont play this on pc with all the modding etc. The game gives you a hard choice that has rest-of-game consequences and some mungbeans remove the consequences and invalidate the choice.

I would rather play as intended, warts and all. IMO these players screw the game for themselves. I personally like that rather than a simple choice you have to take a moment to consider how you want to proceed.

I think mods for known issues until the issues are resolved is ok, or even goofy fun stuff occasionally but I would imagine that most are modding into godhood and are not playing FO4 but some mongrelised poor mans copy with little or no challenge and no feeling whatsoever.

People calling themselves gamers that have no idea what gaming is.

On PC 'tgm' toggles god mode. I'm not sure if you have a point or it's perhaps just that you can't be trusted with that power.

Very few people who mod games do it to make it easy. I have 2 mods running, one for a slightly better map and one for the dialogue wheel. I may install mods that allow me to make it harder though.

You, on a console, have no choice.

Kudos to you for restricting yourself, but my post wasn't directed at you personally, no matter what your ego is telling you, but at the pc community as a whole. You presume I have no choice because you obviously don't think things through, as demonstrated by both of your posts. I could've purchased it on pc but chose to purchase it on xbox as the communities are vastly different these days (<< that's a choice, just to make it blatantly obvious for you). Most of the posts in these forums are from pc players complaining about issues that xboxers and ps4ers just get on with or looking for a mod to get around something like a perma -10 to health. You make a wrong assumption when you think my post was about the platforms and not generally about the people choosing to use the pc as their platform. These are probably the same people that have bots in mmo's and use hacks in fps', and then complain "yeah I beat the game but it was too easy" etc, where in reality they didn't play the game but some kiddified dumbed down version that was more suited to their skill level or perhaps I should say lack of skill level.

Like I said I respect your choice to limit yourself but I was generalising in my post so I refer you back to my read/comprehended comment.

I deserve no kudos at all. It's single player game, you can do what you want. You denigrate an entire community just because it has choices.

If you've completed the associated mission and still have it, then there is no cure unless you are on pc and use command codes.

Even still it is only 10 damage over time, it won't hinder your character any.

Yup. It is insignificant, but I somehow like it. That's it's incurable leaves us some DLC room. ;)

Will this guy stop playing FO4 once mods come to the consoles as Bethesda had promised?

You don't need to be on pc to work around this "hard choice" as the method to keep the serum and give it to the boy works on console too, just use Bethesda's buggy system against them. Though this choice isn't hard nor does it even affect you adversely for the rest of the playthrough, a few hp shaved off is inconsequential Acting as if this game has any hard moral choices is just laughable truly. Lastly, any build tossed together in a blender eventually has you ending up being a god anyway, this isn't a tough game, you don't need mods for that.
