Cure Vampirism

Post » Fri Jan 03, 2014 3:59 pm

Hey.

I am experiencing a problem which makes it unable to do any quests (Lvl 8 Nord)

I started playing Skyrim a while ago, and all of a sudden I got some notifications which had something to do with vampire blood. I didn't know what it was so I just continued doing quests. Now it has come to the point where Vampire stage 4 is affecting my questing everywhere I go.

I do know what I've got to do to have it get cured (biting people when they're asleep and ask for rumors) but I can not even get near to houses, because when I fast travel in the middle of the night it's day time when I get there, so I get killed. When I fast travel somewhere nearby, a dragon spots me when I get near the place I'm actually heading, so I get detected and killed. There's one place I actually have been inside to bite people, but even when I sneak in the slowest way possible, they spot me and I cannot bite them.

I have found a cheat which cures Vampirism (setstage 000EAFD5 10), but when I fill in the code, it doesn't do anything. It simply shows the code when I click enter.

I am out of options and I am sick of being unable to do any quests.

Does anyone know what I could do to fix this?

Thank you.

Try slugging down a cure disease potion immediately afterward.....

Go to Morthal, find Falion and ask him what to do. He can cure you. The challenge, of course, is to get there/complete the cure undetected.

Next time you get Sanguinaris Vampiris, cure the disease before it progresses to vampirism.

At level 8, I'd be tempted to load a previous save prior to having it or at least back to the point where it is still stage 1. Then hit a shrine or down a potion.

Do you have dawnguard? I guess you don't due to getting attacked but you could have a mod that allows you to get attacked as stage four vamp even with Dawnguard. Also level 8 and already a vampire? How did you manage to survive a vampire infested dungeon? (if you do not have Dawnguard)

I should add to this that feeding will put you back to a Stage 1 vampire and eliminate people attacking you on sight. Try to feed before attempting the trip to Morthal--it'll be tough, but not impossible, and will save you some pain.

This. I would also avoid fast travelling until cured if I were you, to make sure you have control over what time of day it is, and to avoid dragon attacks in inconvenient places.

For feeding, maybe try a bandit camp? They might even be asleep if you sneak up at night.

There is also the Companions. Without too much spoilers if you join them eventually Skjor will offer you something that if you accept will cure vampirism.
