Btw what does this have to do with her smoking, you do realise the look and fell of the game is based on 1950 era USA and back than smoking wasnt considered bad at all.
With all her data she must knew smoking is bad for health.
I think it was considered back then that it was good for your health.

She's a medical scientist/robot/sixbot though. Even if her initial understanding is "smoking=good", she's had decades to consolidate her knowledge and improve her studies.
If she was stagnant on 50s science, there would have been no innovation with the molerat disease 83 years prior. And while she might not have much material to develop anti-smoking hypotheses inside the Vault, she does have observations in the outside world and with her own body.
Just to refresh your memory - physically and genetically she is your grandchild.
Well, she's French so the smoking makes sense.
Eh. incist taboos take different definitions across different cultures, and the 23rd Century likely has less boundaries if the population is badly crippled and communities are in greater isolation. A little incist now and again is fine so long as gene flow properly flows every few generations. The important thing is to keep the genetic variation happy, and there's enough genetic modification on Shaun's DNA to make unique synths unique.
Technically, we all share common ancestors by several measures. Just pruning the branches now
If you think a little grandkid synth romance is bad, you should see some of my Crusader Kings II games.
Yeps, twisted, dark stuff...not sure Bethesda realised they wrote incist in when they added synth romance
I really hope there is a mod to disable her smoking. She has yet to smoke in my current playthrough, but that's the reason I ditched Piper in my last playthrough.
Especially considering Curie's character She's obsessed with medicine, health, dislikes drugs and used to be a freaking robot. I mean c'mon!
whats all this stuff about incist? Is it because Shaun's DNA was used to complete the gen 3 synths?
Yep. Shaun's DNA = Shaun's kids; Shaun = your kid, ergo Synths = your grandkids.
And that's more acceptable than Curie smoking.
Yeah. Shaun even calls them his children and considers them "your family".
hot
*Spoilers*
when Shaun said "we are all family, through science" i wanted to say " ya well guess who's phukin grounded!"
I use a mod to change her hair to make her look better too.

* I believe we should put spoiler tag for spoiler though, just in case there is new player here.
Damn, with all the spoilers guys come on, this is general discussion. I stay out of the spoiler board for a reason.
LMAO
Ignorance is bliss.
Generally speaking:
Honestly I found all the companions in FO4 refreshing. They were diverse and interesting which is not the same thing as likeable. Some of these characters are better because they are unlikeable for the most part. They all had personality. I mean the FO3 companions were terrible, FO:NV had some good ones but some really bad ones again not the best which was surprising because Obsidian has the skill and experience in companion writing.
I think this is a marked improvement for Bethesda when I compare Lydia to Piper or Preston or Hancock, it is a little surprising they were made by the same studio. But to be fair Serana was was foreshadowing of what they COULD do, and she was a big improvement over other companions in skyrim so maybe it isn't a huge surprise that they were able to improve upon Serana and make interesting companions.
I'm sorry to inform the less informed that alcoholics do stink. Aside from the smell of liquor or booze, they also develop a sickly body odour.
Yea, gotta say, for a "NO SPOILERS" forum, this one, not so much.
As Worm noted above, I stay off the spoiler boards for a reason, and that reason is that I prefer not to have the story overly spoiled, go figger. 300 + hours in, and I've barely touched the MQ.
I avoid threads on this forum with names I don't recognize, or referring to story specific issues; seems as if even that strategy is useless here.
Seriously, way to go.
