Curing Serana

Post » Wed Nov 21, 2012 2:28 am

So, my conjurer convinced Serana to cure herself for RP reasons. However, Serana has decided to camp out at Falion's in Morthal for several days, and won't go to Falion's shrine to get cured. Once she walked to the edge of Morthal, and proceeded to chop wood instead of venturing into the swamp. Is there a console command I can use to force the issue?

She likes chopping would...simply can't go past a nice piece of hickory.

Funny, but it doesn't help me very much. The only thing I can think of is "resetai" from the console, but that might cause more problems than it solves.

I had her cure herself (Just to see what she looked like as a human and then reverted back to my save game because she is just too awesome as a vampire), but I talked to her about it just outside of Dayspring Canyon. Never followed her to Morthal, just slept in my bed at Dawnguard keep until she got done (took a few days). Try talking to her about it somewhere away from Morthal and then just wait for her to come back.

How can one convince Serana to cure herself? I have tried to talk her to that point a few times but she refuses. She's essential and vampire and that annoys me. (I'm not asking if she wants to be cured I'm just asking which one she chooses cure or death. Both of them seems to be impossible to do without a mod.)

Wait till you've finished the MQ. Be careful in your options when you start the conversation... she will reject it! If you asked before finishing, i think she will not agree to be cured....

I have asked once before finishing and twice after finishing the MQ. She always refuses.

If you ask before you finish, I do believe you are hosed.... Others can chime in to verify this.

Also the options you choose in the dialogue will make a difference. The one that worked for me was the one where you tell her she can be her own person again. She gets annoyed if you tell her you'd fell better!

I talked to her about it in castle Dawnguard. I just let her leave and she was back a few days later. She didn't look any different but I noticed that she has no offer to join me as a follower anymore. I don't know if it bugged out or what.

Yeah, seems like it bugged on you. When she returned to me I could make her a follower again. Also, she had normal human eyes, but the whites of her eyes were glowing a faint orange. Looked pretty strange. haha

I never got such option. She gets always in quite negative mood and gives very little chance to discuss about it when I ask if she has ever thought about curing herself.

It may be that you need to say nice, supportive things to her throughout the quest. I think if you're rude or mean during critical conversations, she'll deny your request to go back to human.

I have tried to keep all conversations and other things with her as minimum as possible as long as she is vampire.
