Curious About Other's Home Page.....

Post » Tue Mar 15, 2011 2:27 am

I don't start many topics here, but I thought this might be an interesting one.
I'm curious about where others point their home page when you launch your browser? I have used Yahoo for years because I get the news headlines, and they have a search bar. I don't use the majority of their features but I've never really strayed from there, and I know that there must be other ones that are equally utilitarian.

I have four - the BBC News site, Al Jazeera English, the Guardian homepage and one I shouldn't mention.

I'm not that into the news, in fact if I didn't have news sites as my homepage I probably wouldn't follow it at all. Which is exactly why I do.

I use iGoogle.
It contains two tabs.
One with: Gmail, a calendar, a list of pages I visit often.
Another with: TV-guides!

Mine is just the default Firefox Google homepage, I've always liked the look of it so I never bothered to change it.

Speed dial, cause I use Opera, but I forget to set more than like 2, since this is a public computer. My old laptop had like 15 pages in the speed dial. But now that I am thinking, I can add BGSF, TESNexus, and Bulbapedia to my speed dial.

It never occurred to me that you can have more than one home page in FireFox through the use of tabs and that you can save them as home pages in the tools/options menu.....you learn something new everyday. Also I didn't realize that Google was so customizable with your own pics...etc...so I'm starting to use that also, as well as the forums here, and another unrelated forum that I frequent. Thanks for the input.

I don't really have a homepage... I have Firefox save whatever tabs I have open and reopen them every time I start it up.

My official one, the one set in my browser, is the forums here, but as stated it saves my tabs so I see them when i reopen the broswer. However at anyone time I generally have the sam5 tabs open, and then whatever I happened to be looking at when I closed my browser.
