Spent 6 years in the U.S. military and recently got out, i've been looking for a good job and recently found an amazing one.

Anyone else having "good luck" around the time Skyrim comes out that'll let them play more? Maybe even just being able to take vacation?

1) Congratulations. There is no higher honor, than serving your country.

2) Yes. It's called retirement.

Ha, yeah. I've gained a few pounds but I'm working to lose it again.

Thank you, and I think you win with the retirement. Sounds better than being unemployed, lol.

I've been unemployed for the last ~1.5 years. I graduated with an ACS certified BS in chemistry back in spring 2009, and was a substitute teacher for a year:

minimum wage + no way of disciplining evil students who are allowed by the school system to walk all over me -> worst year of my life

This unemployment means I can play Skyrim till I puke... then Mass Effect 3 when it comes out... then whatever comes out next :P. I should be more worried about this unemployment thing, shouldn't I? :P

No, games are more important :frog:

Economy is doomed at the moment, no sense going mad about it, enjoy Skyrim! :P

No luck here. On 11/11/11, I'll be going to school for 7 hours, as usual, then I get to come home for 1 hour, then go work for another 5 hours. I'll get home at 9:00PM, and I'll have to get to bed by 11:30 so I can get up to go to work again in the the morning.

Not here. My work and college schedule is packed, so I won't get to fully enjoy an entire day of Skyrim until maybe late December. :sadvaultboy:

I share your pain :(

College: Oh you get the weekends off, but you better spend one of said days on doing that huge assignment I decided to throw at you at the end of this week.

Work: We can only let you work 6 days of the week, sounds fair to me.

College + Work: The system is broken! We shall have you study 5 days and work the other two! Oh and remember that huge college assignment you were given, it's still there! *maniacal laughter* Nearly no Skyrim for you, HAH!

1) Congratulations. There is no higher honor, than serving your country.

2) Yes. It's called retirement.

Please don't get people like me started on that... I could name 40 reasons for why that is a false statement just off the top of my head.

I have enough money to last me until then so what this means is I'll be playing ludicrous amounts of Skyrim for 1.5 months before I start working again.

Well, good or bad, no matter how you feel about it, or how you feel about the military in general, my comment is the same. I'm sure you have comments about the evil things that have happened through history, or personal experiences, that weren't exactly a bed of roses. Still, no mater the military, country or it's goals. Be them for the greater good, or an evil plot to take over the world. Those aspects are not relevant to honor. Risking and GIVING ones life, for what they believe in, like it or not, good or bad, the HONOR is there. The sacrifice of ones life, for the survival of others, is the ultimate gift.

I can respect your opinion. I felt the need to respond to your post, this one time, to clarify a stance on honor. Thus, it will be that last time, I post to this subject.

I'm coming home from University that weekend to play Skyrim. And then 2 weeks later I get an entire week of vacation for Thanksgiving. Will be playing a LOT of Skyrim over Thanksgiving break. Not as lucky as you though, as I won't be able to play after that until the end of December/Christmas break. :(

I can pretty much decide when I work or not, as long as it gets done at some point. March will be a busy time, though. That's when my first novel is scheduled for release in the UK, so I'll have quite a lot to do.

The opposite for me. Just finished high school back in June, and I haven't had a thing to do since then, but I finally got myself a job and I start Tuesday. I'm psyched for the job, but it seems the midnight release that I've been looking forward to for near a year will no longer be happening. At least I'll be able to even afford it now though :P

Im in year 12 which means i have my HSC coming up very soon. It just so happens that Skyrim comes out on the day of my last exam. So basically i have from then till next year to play all i possibly can (10 + hours like zee OP). Also I have Schooolies, Camping, New years, and many other unplanned chances to drink and live it up before 2012. :celebration: :celebration: :celebration: :celebration: :celebration: :celebration: :celebration: :celebration: :celebration: :celebration:

Thank you for your service to our country. And congratulations on your job. :celebration: + "Pop the bubblaaaaayyy!" app

I work long overnight shifts that Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Picking up Skyrim on Friday before I go to work. I will exhibit a self-restraint that not even the most celebrated and accomplished monks, fakirs, shamans, and mystics in history could achieve. I will put my copy of Skyrim on top of my stack of favorite and currently-playing games, and there it will sit, still in it's shrink-wrap.

Until Sunday, when I will begin the most grueling binge-gaming gauntlet marathon that I have ever done. Four straight days off from work.

I was trying to create real Restore Fatigue potions to help me through, but all they keep doing is turning the cat green...

I guess I'm doing it wrong.

Unfortunately for me, 11-11-11 is the friday of the weekend before my study week for exams :(

Pretty much, I maybe play lots of Skyrim for the week end, and then drop it for a fortnight. It'll kill me though... My sister maybe sitting near me on her pc playing the game for the fortnight i'm not...
