So I got to the top of the building and rescued Rex. Unfortunately his AI is terrible. On our way down, he kept running of the elevator to chase down Super Mutants. I've lost him somewhere in the building. Strong was pretty glitchy as well, but he finally made it to the bottom. He's standing at the quest marker and any time I talk to him all he says is "Go away bleeder!" I rode up and down those [censored] elevators 5 or 6 times making sure I killed all the Super Mutants hoping that Rex would teleport to the quest marker, but he didn't. He's somewhere in the damn building. Anyone know how of a workaround?

Edit: I've also tried waiting in various increments, that didn't work either.
