Cusom model not working when weld

Post » Fri May 13, 2011 7:22 pm

ok so i've modified the model of the combat shotgun into a grenade launcher using 3ds max, ported it over using nifscope and im currently getting it into the GECK. the problem is that when the weapon is on the ground in game, it shows with my grenade launcher model but when i equip it, its a shotgun.

in the weapon properties, i have the model and the world model set to my grenade launcher model. plus i made a new 1st person form that uses the grenade launcher model and linked that to the weapon. what am i missing? because i dont know of any other forms that are linked to the weapon model.

any help would be very much appriciated.

EDIT: ok i didn't mean to type weld in the title, i meant held.

You need a new 1st person static. Search for 1st under statics and see how it's done.

No it's not possible to mod the game for XBox. Please don't try and hijack someone else's thread to ask an irrelevant question.

Meh, I recently spend hours fretting about a script that just wouldn't work. I 14th checked every little thing in my mod, rewrote the script 6 times, and at the end I forgot to check the esp in FOMM :D

I had a similar problem when redoing a custom non-FOSE version of WMKs, however there is an easy shortcut. If you leave a field blank it automatically uses the primary 3d model. So if you leave ground or 1st person blank it will use the top model in the list. Saved me lots of time(after I wasted a lot of time creating 1stperson statics)
