Custom class names

Post » Tue Feb 02, 2010 5:58 am

Hi. I was wandering if there is anyway to let me type bigger custom class names? It seems you can only have a class name about 1.5 inches long. Can I alter this to be ,say, 3 inches?

Not that I'm aware of; that is I have not heard or read of a way of doing this.

Just be thankful you don't play on the 360 like me. Custom class names are limited to something like 12 characters I believe.

Really? I've played it on the 360 and my friends and it didn't seem to limit the names to 12 chars. Oh well thanks for your help Arcadian and Benn.

This is one thing that really irks me about many videogames in general, not just OB. All the bits and ram and memory allotted to make these games as spectacular as possible, yet we can't make our charactr's name (not to mention class name) longer than a certain amount of letters. This has happened to me several times. All a sudden, everything gets all stingy. :(

I wanted "Bewjok the Grey Wizard" for my newest character's name, for instance. Nope, can't do it. I wanted "Black Magic Witch" for my 2nd to last char's class name. Nope, can't do it. So I wind up with a compromised name instead.

Yeah it is annoying. Mabey we should ask one of those modders to make a mod to tackle this problem.

I know with the last character I made I tried to use "Altmer Knight" and it wouldn't let me put the last "t" on at the end. The only class name I could fit that I even halfway liked was "Altmer Ronin" which is 11 letters + 1 space for a total of 12 characters.

I don't think it's how much letters, I think it's how much space across. I tested it once and I got about 9-10 lower case a's into the gap but only about 5-6 upper case a's.
Eaither way it's still annoying.
