Custom content not showing up on list

So I decided to create a storage vault for myself, I created the mod and saved it. yet when I boot up the game and click the data files button I don't see my personal mod anywhere on the list. I did a search on my computer for the file and even my computer cannot find it, yet when I boot up TES CS again it is able to read and find my file perfectly. Any help would be appreciated.

win7 or vista?

this is what happens when you have the CS installed in the program files directory, but do not run as admin.

it obviously saved somewhere, but im not sure where. it might be in a hidden folder in \users\(username)\appdata

try searching again, this time searching system and hidden folders. if not, you might need to recreate your mod in an instance of the CS being run in admin mode. i know this is what i had to do myself. luckily, i caught it early enough in development so that i didnt have too much to recreate.

Alternatively, load up your mod in the CS but don't set it to be the Active File. That way, when you save, it will bring up a save dialog and you should be able to see where your mod is actually saved.
