Please read the following from the FAQ at the top of the 'Brink General Discussion' page:

A quick note!

If you are redirecting new members to this thread (or elsewhere) please keep your response courteous. Brusquely brushing people off with a redirect and a comment on how their thread will be locked is rude and unnecessary.

Also, just because a question is answered here doesn't mean that we don't allow discussion of the topic. A thread asking what the team size maximum is will probably be locked with a link to this FAQ but it's perfectly fine to have a thread discussing team size and what people think of it. Some of these topics don't leave much space for discussion, others have plenty of room.

Finally, if a new member is asking a question that's been asked and answered many times before it is fine to civilly direct them to an active thread. However if there are no active threads from the past few weeks it is perfectly fine to have a fresh thread on the subject. If you don't want to be involved in this new thread because you've discussed it many times in the past there is nothing forcing you to respond - any derogatory or dismissive replies to such threads focused on the repetitive nature of the question will be treated as flaming.

You two are so cheesy, you're making the rats in my walls restless.

OP, there will be the option to change your controller mapping to be similar to many popular shooters, including Call of Duty, Halo, Left 4 Dead, and about four others I can't recall. Naturally, Splash Damage urges players to try out the default settings for a while before switching to something they're more familiar with.

As for selecting exactly what button does what function, completely customizing your controller layout, I can't give you anything certain.
