Custom creature followers...

Is there a way to make a creature follow you with console commands? I know a cheap way of doing it with the creation kit and simply making a follow AI package. But there's no way to interact with the creature and tell it to wait or dismiss it.

Is it possible to remove the package with console commands in-game when I want it to hang around and then re-add the package to get it to follow?

Are there any tutorials on creating creature followers that you would recommend?

Don't know of console comands but this can be of some help for creating followers.

I did find with the tutorial if you have papyrus prefixing already setup there really is no point in renaming the fragments like he did, and also the dog follower script can be despensed with on the creature by adding only a part of the script in with one of the TIF's.

Always hated talking to the stray dog in game because just talking to it made it your follower wether you exited conversation or not, and that script is the reason.
