For the past 30 hours (not non-stop) I have been working on a new little cave. It'll also function as an inn. There are several characters living down there, and one of them is the innkeeper.

I followed a tutorial on YouTube on how to create a custom innkeeper, and that went all well, but I've got a bit of an issue. When I approach my innkeeper character and ask her to rent a room, everything works as it should, but when she is supposed to show me to the room, she just stays where she is, and doesn't leave. She won't show me to the bed I have set as the rental bed. The tutorial essentially duplicated Hulda, but I didn't want to do that so I created my own entirely new character.

The RentRoomScript is set as it should, as it appears on other innkeepers. But I'm not sure what to do now.

You have finished and checked the navmesh?

I'm not sure how to do this, so I have not done anything with the Navmesh. I'll look for a tutorial, but I must ask if there is a specific way to Navmesh specific things.

There are very good visual tutorials about navmesh at creationkit.com. Essentially you cover all the walkable area with triagles of navmesh. NPCs won't be able to go anyplace where there isn't a navmesh that defines the area they can use. It's easy but somewhat tedious.

Oh, okay. I think that may be why my innkeeper isn't showing me to the bed. I'm using the cave kit rather than farmhouse kit or other regular building kits so I think that's what I've got to do. I'll try it and come back with my results.
