Heya.


I'm going to be making a custom race built of my Dunmer Nerevarine from Morrowind, since a Custom Race seems to be the easiest way to incorperate the disease immunity, powers, and much more useful racial ability. Problem is, I don't want to get generic greetings off other NPCs and Valen Dreth. Is there any way to make NPCs recognise a custom race as a Dunmer? Will 'duplicating' the Dark Elf race work?

I suppose I could just alter the actual Dunmer race, since i'm not going to notice if other Dark Elves have 100% Disease Immunity or a racial ability they will never use. I might notice the powerful freballs, but that could just make things interesting.

There might be some options in obse to alias to another race, but without obse you would need to change all dunnmer checking dialog to check for your new race as well.

Ack, i'm not even experianced enought to script in the basic toolset, let alone use OBSE.

Guess i'm editting the default Dark Elves then.
