Custom resolution?

I wanted to play some Crysis 2 on my secondary machine (a Macbook Pro 13") with a low spec graphics card. 1280x800, the native resolution, lags too much so I wanted to change it to the next step down (960x600). Is this possible?

800x600? u can only like see the gun and nothing else with that resolution o.O
