CVAR wanted for zoom, Sentivity works how?

Post » Thu Jun 02, 2011 7:33 pm

So one thing that really bugs me in MP (SP didnt matter so much) is how the zoom function turns down your sensitivity. I understand that most people probally enjoy this kind of feature, but I personally have super low sensitivity to start with, and going lower when I scope in is just annoying. I've also noticed that there is a slight change even when you go into sights of a gun.

^ So TLDR zoom_sensitivity_ratio to adjust how zooming in affects your mouse movement.

Also if anyone could figure out a formula for how the numbers in Crysis 2 affect your DPI that'd be great. I've for the most part measured and matched up how I play with a tape measure, but I'd rather it be perfect.

Example: Valve Source Engine works by directly multiplying your DPI.

Slider Bar: 1.7
DPI: 400
Sentivity score: 1.7 x 400 = 680

Cry-adam or Cry-someone I'd like to know if it's a good idea :<

Don't just let it fade away in the snow tumbling forum turmoil. :'(

Try turning up your sensitivity? I don't really see how can this be a bad thing, in fact on the assault scope the effect probably could be even greater.

Are you kidding?
Most of the time it's TOO sensitive for me Zoomed.

Try disabling Mouse Acceleration(Using advanced graphics config), and "Enhance pointer precision" in W7 control panel.

The issue is that any changes to the sensitivity and the amount of control the player need to be allowed to be adjusted. The fact that you think it's still too high shows me that even you would probally benefit from having a command variable for it if you cared enough about it. To take a picture from Vavle, they have so many user adjustable CVARs that are not even marked on the options. Zoom_senitivity_ratio being one of them, I'd like my input while scoping up and using iron sight, to be exactly the same as when I'm not.

Also I'd still like to know how exactly this game deals with input from the mouse, just like in my original example.

Bumping this, whenever I use the visor to tag people the sensitivity is SUPER low because similarly, my sensitivity is also very low. Need to fix this!
