Frustrated by the lack of companion choices for my evil character I decided to make my own.

Cyan is a blue haired raider girl hanging out at a small camp north of Goodsprings. She and her late partner have bitten off more than they can chew in the form of two Caravaneers. Help her out and she'll happily follow you around while whining that she needs her next chem fix.

Version 2.0 represents a major overhaul of this mod. It is possible that some bugs squashed in 1.x may have returned, or new ones cropped up. If you find bugs then do please report them.

Installation

Unzip in your New Vegas data directory ("C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas\Data" on my system) and make sure AEFCore.esm and RaiderGirlCyanNV.esm are checked under "Data Files" in the launcher.

Find her on the road just north of Goodsprings, far enough away not to be seen from the town but not far enough to put you at risk from the nasties in that direction. Kill the guy who is harassing her and she'll offer to join you. Not much of a quest yet, but maybe I'll add that later.

Upgrade Notes

If you are moving from version 1.2 or earlier to the current version of this mod then you need to take back any gear Cyan might be carrying and dismiss her before upgrading. A lot of stuff changed behind the scenes in version 2.0 and a seamless upgrade is no longer possible. Cyan will work just as before (or better hopefully) but you will need to visit her camp again and re-hire her. Also, multi-follower support is now integrated via the "AEF Options Menu" item you'll find in your inventory. RaiderGirlCyanNVmulti.esp is no longer needed - delete it.

Interesting. Did you recycle vanilla voice files for her or is it a new voice?

Recycled, using various bits and pieces found in the game files, but I personally think she sounds pretty decent considering the limited amount to work with. A lot of the stuff said by Fiends is of course very appropriate.

Oh yes a lot can be achieved if you're creative with the vanilla voice files!
