Cyrodiil Isolated

Post » Mon Apr 05, 2010 9:58 am

It has been 135 years since the Oblivion Crisis, and the world is in a state of turmoil. Hundreds of horse-riding raiders scour the wilderness and civilization alike, ruthless and savage in their efforts to throw the governments out of power. These gangs and groups of ruffians numbers vary. Some being small as ten or fifteen, which are usually sub-groups of a larger and more powerful group which can number as much as three or four thousand. Occasionally, a group will be taken by vampires, their lives taken in their sleep, and they now must feed on the living to survive. Ocato is still alive, and has taken control of what is left of the Empire. The other factions have barred off Cyrodiil from the rest of the land, and left it to decide its own fate. Only when Ocato gives the word that the gangs have been overthrown will the other factions resume contact. Lewayiin is now controlled by Black Marsh. Anti Argonian gangs pillage and harass the barrier lines, but always end in the lizards winning. Troll population has leaped, and hundreds of the lumbering beasts roam the land, viscous and bloodthirsty when encountered by humanoids. Necromancy is at a minimum, but a powerful necromancer named Vlad von Carstein is Ocato's second in command, and can call forth hundreds of undead minions and monsters at a whim, but even this Necromancer isn't enough to bring the gangs to a halt.

What you can be. You can be basically anyone. Maybe a farmer who had a family slaughtered by raiders and is out for vengeance, or maybe you're one of Vlad's pet necromancers. Maybe you're the leader of a gang, or one of the members of a gang. Perhaps you are a close informant of Ocato, or an ex-legion hero rejoining the force.

If you want to play Ocato, Vlad, or be a powerful figure in the game in general, please ask me first, and please have a lot of experience.

Put a lot of effort into your character sheets.

Sorry, I'm a little busy right now, but your RP looks decidedly free form. How do we intend to change things here? We need something to go against, because right now the antagonist is everybody. The other provinces, Ocato, Vlad, the gangs, etc.

Oh, and one reason why people don't respond to these often would be because people don't really know you  There is something called reputation that must be taken into consideration with creating a roleplay. I myself have never attempted to make one, although Peleus and I had plans for one a while back.

:/ I just like free form rps, but I suppose I should try and do it in the usual style. I would rather have players write the story themselves than just follow out a prewritten one. Age of Tyranny was the first rp I had on here, and it was a pretty big hit till it died..

I don't know exactly what you're saying about the reputation.. When I rp on here I've rped with good quality.. And when there is a new thread up, everyone usually checks it out whether a popular started the thread or not. I think I'm a good rper, anyways.

I'm not going to start judging people's rep, but Chriso, I have no idea how that happened. I saw yours start, but sadly never payed much attention to it. I think after a few good RPers signed up, people began to notice. Regardless, it's your call Holy. I can't tell you why people wouldn't join, it's not an exact science. There is no way to have a sure fire sucess.

If you ahve a good idea your rep dosnt matter too much. Like I made an RP that lasted ffor a while but I hadnt been in any yet. Rep just helps if you makea questionable idea that some people amy not want to do.
