Cyrodiil in Morrowind

I was hoping that there had been further advancements, ahh well. Westernmost Skyrim is cut off by quite a distance still. Hoping for OpenMW here too!

Cyrodiil doesn't make the map at all. Still much to be fixed as far as the world map goes.

That sounds great, I can't wait to see what you do. Don't feel bad if there are critiques for your first try. We have all been through that and its the only way to really learn.

How long has it been since the cyrodiil mod had an actual BGSF thread going? I don't pay the greatest quantity of attention to these forums, but I think one is overdue. It is too easy to slip under the tide of mods if there isn't a constant reminder of your existence.

Yeah it has been a while TF, it will be reappearing shortly. We have decided to hold off on its own thread until we have a nice little gift for the community to see. With current progress it shouldn't be too much longer before we can make that move. Stay Tuned :)

Please include the Unique Landscapes in your mod.

EDIT...

Or at least try...I forgot the graphics aren't as good as Oblivion.

I have no idea what you are referring to. Our Cyrodiil at P:C is going to be significantly different than Oblivion's. We are sticking close to Cyrodiil as it is supposed to be according to the Pocket Guides. This means it will be a more jungly environment in certain areas. We aim to stick as close to that vision as was set out by Bethesda before they went all bland on us and spat out an environment that could have easily been found in any other number of games.

Oh, I see well that looks a bit more jungly to me so yeah things of that nature should be expected from P:C Perhaps not in out first release as its not a very large Island so a huge jungly gorge might be a bit much, but expect some very new looking landscapes and models.

You know, I have to admit that I never really could figure out why they would make Cyrodiil a jungle. Imperials always struck me as being more Mediterranean of sorts, modeled after Romans and Greeks. Frankly, neither the jungle, nor the lush temperate forest, seemed quite right - though I have to admit, Rome and Greece have something more close to temperate forest than jungle.

I know every region is supposed have a different feel, and frankly Oblivion looks the way I imagine High-Rock should have looked, with perhaps a bit more snow, so a slightly more jungle look I could see. I'm just having a hard time imagining Imperial Architecture emerging in a place that looks like the Congo, though.

Of course, that's just my $0.02 - for what it's worth.

It's not entirely jungle. There is the central jungle region surrounding the imperial city and bordering the Nibenay Basin. The rest will simply have more tropical style trees around the coasts as you would see in Mediterranean areas. Also Imperials in Cyrodiil adopted much of their architecture from the Ayleids. So you will see more elvish looking things that you would maybe expect in a lush environment, especially in the heavily elven inspired Nibenay regions. In the West where the colovians come from things will be much more spartan and bare. It will be the region that most closely resembles the Mediterranean terrain you invision as it is coincidentally the region where the imperials that make up the Legion are from. This is why you see the very roman-esque imperials in Morrowind. Not many Nibenese are of stock that would make it out there.
