Clothing: Basic linen clothes under armor, as well as for everyday wear in a variety of mundane colors.
Miscellaneous: A golden necklace.
Mentality/Mental description: Being an ex-Legionnaire centurion has given this man a stout belief of harsh discipline, rigorous training, and simple but effective lifestyles. Despite all of these things however, his men adore him, as he is not a leader who stands back to watch it all. He will usually join his men in combat where he is needed, and his ability to laugh and drink and socialize with the troops afterwards makes him a rather charismatic person.
He keeps his men in line, but not out of fear, but respect. His men have come to know the value of the hard training he gives them, and instead of begrudging him for it, they praise him for he often joins in as well.
Short Biography: At the ripe age of 16, he joined the Legion "illegally" early, and finished his training only days after his 17th birthday. He had grown up the son of a Centurion, and knew the hard lifestyle of a soldier, but his father had taught him not to be above your men, but on the exact same level.
He was stationed in the Imperial City for the first year of his service, but at 18 he was sent off to Morrowind, in some gods-forsaken fort in the middle of the western mountains bordering Cyrodiil. He spent the next 8 years of his life living a tough, simple existence, and he would not have been the same man today if it weren't for his time there.
After a brief recall and leave of absence, he was then shipped out to Skyrim, with a promotion to Tesserarius and many eyes watching his promising career. For 6 years he lived in the southern part of Skyrim, helping fight off annoying bands of raiders who terrorized the region, and in his fifth year was promoted to Centurion of the 13th Infantry Company of the 3rd Legion. Here he brought about the use of the phalanx, teaching its art to the men in Skyrim for they were constantly being decimated by the heavy cavalry forces of the Nords in the narrow mountain passes.
He was famous for it, as it was a brilliant move, and the fruitless battle they had been fighting over the last few years ended in three short battles, led by Nathan himself.
Upon coming home, he made a surprising move and retired early, not wanting to deal with the increasing amount of politics in the Legion, and instead sought to form a band of mercenaries, which he called, The Flaming Pikes.
Faction Sheet
Rank: Commander (Nathan Scipii)
Faction Name: The Flaming Pikes
Troop Numbers: 560
Troop Description:
Heavy Phalangites (300)- Wearing iron hauberks and hard leather lamellar over top, iron greaves, boots, gloves and gauntlets, they are well protected by still light enough to maintain some maneuverability.
Armed with 21 foot long sarissa, which require two hands to use, they have small iron shields strapped to their left arms, rendering them stationary, but allowing the men to wield the lengthy weapons.
They are trained to present an unyielding wall of spear tips, which, depending on the depth of the block, could equal five or so rows of pikes to get through.
Though much training is put into these soldiers, the effect is undeniably effective if cohesion is maintained through the block, and a trust must be developed between each man.
Mobility is hindered when actually in the phalanx, and should an enemy find its way around the deadly wall of sharp iron, then a hole may be opened.
Medium Infantry (100)- Armed in simple iron lamellar cuirasses, greaves and pauldrons, these men are able to be swift in their movements, without sacrificing too much protection.
Armed with medium sized leather shields, two or three throwing spears, and the deadly rhomphaia, they can shower an enemy with missiles before moving in to engage in melee combat.
The rhompahia they wield is a deadly curved blade, crafted to be able to pierce armor with ease, as well as cleaving shields and helmets. It requires a little more training then a basic sword to use, but its effectiveness against armor makes up for it.
They act as a solid support troop for the phalangites, and can hold out in melee combat for a fair amount of time, even when unsupported.
Medium Cavalry (100)- Wearing iron hauberks and hard leather lamellar over top, iron greaves, boots, gloves and gauntlets, these men are not the heaviest horseman around.
They are armed with a sarissa, which is roughly 16 feet long, and can provide with a deadly charge. Unfortunately, they must sacrifice the use of a shield to use the weapon, thus taking away some of their effectiveness in prolonged melee fights. THey do carry a medium length blade with them as well.
They are not used as heavy cavalry and shock troops, but more of a supporting role, coming to rescue holes that have opened and hitting the enemy from behind while the pikes hold them down.
Purple Guards (50)- The elite of the fighting force, and Nathan's own unit, they are protected with heavy chainmail hauberks and iron lamellar cuirasses. Their greaves are also iron lamellar, as well as their boots, pauldrons and gauntlets, making them a force of fairly heavy infantry. They wear iron helmets with full face protection.
Wielding large round shields and short thrusting spears about 6 feet in length, as well as a well balanced throwing axe apiece and a short blade as backup, these men can rain axes upon foes from a distance, before closing in to finish them with their spears.
These men are tough, well trained and represent Nathan as his own unit which he fights with.
War-Mages (10)- Trained in the schools of Destruction, Alteration and Illusion, these wizards are able to not only bring the elements down upon their foes, but also harden allies skin, allow them safe passage of boggy lands, confuse and demoralize the enemy, and rally their allies.

Other aesthetic details:A grand beard, not long, but thick and bushy all around his neck and chin.
Equipment/Pockets/Pouch: None.
What you are good at: Proficient at sword play, being a soldier at one point. Hosting a fine party. Knowing what's best for his people.
What you are bad at: Physical activity beyond moving from his throne to the Dinning Hall, now that he's out of shape.
Weapons: Silver Long sword
Armour: A full raiment of Chorrol Armor, excluding the Helmet. THe armor has been "shinnied" up though, with gold trims, and encrusted jewels.
Clothing: Fine silken robes, and other clothes. ONly the best.
Miscellaneous: MAny gold and silver rings and chains hanging form his body.
Mentality/Mental description: A friendly man, who has ten years experience in military service with CHorrol, so he knows his stuff fairly well. He is always thinking about how to better the life for his people, and so sometimes the finances of the town slip a little, but the people have never been happier.
UNfortunately, the corruption of politics have been imbedded in his brain, and bribes are always passing through his hands, as well as blackmail and lying (but never to his people). As a result, he has become slightly paranoid about his assassination, and lately, the city has been thrown into a little disarray, as he shuts himself in his room for days on end.
Short Biography: Living the simple life of the Counts son, he enjoyed many fine things in life, but also wanted to join the Oak Guard.
After ten years of service, he was forced to retire because his father died, and he had to take over as Count. He did so reluctantly at first, as he preferred the action of the Guard to sitting on a throne all day, but when he realized he could make people's lives better, he suddenly took the the idea of being Count, and since then has done everything he can to make the city better.
He personally leads the armies of Chorrol, but in day to day running's, leave it to his officers.
Faction Sheet
Rank: General
Faction Name: Army of the Great Oak
Troop Numbers: 14800
Troop Description:
Great Oak Infantry (5000)- Being the simplest of Chorrol's soldiers, they are not the softest though. Given strong chainmail hauberks, greaves, boots and gauntlets with a blue tunic with a white oak painted on over top, these men are hardened for the battle lines; as well as wooden shields. They usually supply their own weapons, so they carry a variety of swords and axes, but only one handed weapons as certain cohesion must be retained.
Being front line infantry, they do see some serious action, and are heavy enough to hold ground for a while before support can be brought, though against cavalry they will fall quickly.
Archers of the Oak (3300)- Trained exclusively with compound short bows, these men can deliver a hail of arrows from a fair distance away. Armed in hardened leather lamellar cuirasses with the Great Oak tunics over top, these men are mobile and quick, able to use the forrest land that surrounds Chorrol to their advantage, by springing ambushes.
THey carry cloth quivers with roughly 15 to 25 arrows in it, and side arms are only present if the individual provides it himself.
High Guards of the Oak (2000)- The elite troops and also the only cavalry of Chorrol, these men are usually picked from the upper classes of the city. Given iron lamellar cuirasses (with the tunic), and steel greaves and boots, these men are not quite heavy cavalry but not quite light cavalry.
They are armed with shorter spears, only 9 and a half feet long, and they provide their own sidearms, which are usually axes or swords. They are also given small round shields for protection in prolonged fighting, and are able to hold out for a while unsupported.
Hillmen (4500)- Hired as mercenaries, these men are considered "wild" and "barbaric" by most "civilized" folk, but if one went to live with them they seem to have chosen the simple if not tough life in the rugged mountains west of Chorrol, and have quite a rich culture.
This doesn't stop them from being savage on the battlefield. Wearing little to no armor, the most they might have is some padded leather or an iron helmet.
They all carry a simple sling, along with one or two rocks, but the beauty of the sling is ammunition is nearly limitless! A rock can take down the hardiest man, and these men know how to use the weapon well and from a considerable distance. They also carry six foot wooden spears for close combat, which they are surprisingly effective with, and some may have an axe or wooden club, or even a sword now and then.

MarnName: Basileios, Basil
Age: 42
Race: Cyrodiil
Gender: Male
Appearance: Stocky, broad, red-faced, capable of broad grins, tight frowns and stern judgment, Basileios is the last ruler of a dying Empire. Of prematurely aged appearance, Basil sports curly, silvery-bronze hair with a beard and moustache to match. His face is marked by wrinkles of all kinds: laughter lines, frown lines, crows' feet and more. His lively, youthful eyes of pale blue and athletic physique are the only immediate signs of his surprisingly young age. He is a vigorous man in the prime of his life, despite the stress on his features caused by months of difficult, strenuous work. Oddly leonine, Basil is capable of all kinds of expressions, but his air is that of a lion in winter.
Arms: Basil bears a longsword in battle, cutting down his enemies to and fro from horseback.
Apparel: Though he is not strictly a military man, Basil generally wears military gear at court, even when performing administrative duties. It is not a contempt for court vogue, but merely a person preference for simple, timeless clothing with practical use and military style.
Faction Name: The Empire
Settlements: Nibennium (The Imperial City), Weye, Aleswell, Cropsford, Pell's Gate, Fort Nikel, Fort Virtue, Fort Alessia
Light Infantry [9,000]
There has always been variation in the light infantry employed by the Empire, but with the Empire's recession, the light infantry have taken on a more uniform appearance. Drawn up from local populations, as opposed to the medium infantry who are largely foreign, the men are clad in light gear: cloth, leather, quilting. Each soldier is equipped with two or three spears (shorter than those used by the medium infantry), a shield and a sidearm. The sidearms vary wildly, some men bringing their own swords or axes, with some using clubs, picks and flails. Traditionallly, light infantry have been used to harass enemy columns on the march, or raid small settlements and outposts. In recent times, these men have instead been employed in an assault role with heavy cavalry.
Medium Infantry [9,000]
The Empire's late-period infantry have changed from the famed legionaries of the past to a more flexible unit suited to the changing battlefields of the present power struggles, inspired by the lighter units employed by the Empire in Morrowind. Late-period medium infantry are as disciplined and peerless in the field as before, but now instead of Western plate, the troops wear padded cloth jacks or aketons, beneath klibanion lamellar. They also have lighter leather boots than before, as well as splinted vambraces and rerebraces, and spangenhelms with splinted skirts and mail aventails. The Empire's medium infantry are armed with spears and swords, maces or axes. Their kite shields are blazoned with a red dragon. Highly disciplined, flexible, well-trained fighters, the late-period medium infantry are still without peer.
Heavy Cavalry [2,000]
The late-period heavy cavalry of the Empire are closer akin to earlier cavalry, compared to late- and mid-period infantry. The riders are clad in heavy plate with cloth padding and mail beneath, while the horses are also heavily barded. The cataphracts are armed with lances and thick heater shields, as well as a longsword for dismounted and close combat. The Empire's heavy cavalry are clad even heavier than most Western knights and are a stunning force on the battlefield: a match for heavy infantry and cavalry alike. A major tactic favoured by the heavy cavalry is to ride about, harassing archers. Their thick armour renders them almost immune to arrow fire, so it is not uncommon for a unit of cataphracts to ride head-long into enemy archers without paying heed to missile fire. That said, some of the cataphracts are armed with composite bows instead of lances, making them heavy mounted archers.
Battlemages [800]
With a tradition established in the Empire's ancient past, the Battlemages are a skilled combination of warrior and wizard. Graduates of the Imperial School of Battlemages recruited into the army, these fighters relinquish versatility and flexibility in return for mastery of the magic and the melee. Clad in the thickest steel plate and armed with battleaxes, these hulking, tough individuals supplement the regular troops with their arcane powers of Destruction, Alteration and Conjuration.
Dragonsworn (Militia) [7,000 to 11,000]
The Dragonsworn are the Empire's volunteer units. Their numbers, kit and purpose vary wildly. The rowers in the navy are entirely made up of the Dragonsworn, as are the Limitanei. Unlike the Empire's infantry, the Dragonsworn are not regulated. The standard of kit is generally average, with little to no armour (occasionally a helmet or cuirass), a spear and tall shield issued by the local authorities and a home-bought sidearm (varies from sticks to castle-forged blades).
woolymammoth45Name: Derrik the Strong
Alias/Nickname: Derrik
Race: Nord
Gender: Male
Apparent age: 28
Actual Age: 32
Height: 6'5
Skin Tone: The usual Nordic white. Norseman like.
Hair Colour: Light brown
Eye Colour: Very light, golden brown
Significant Markings: Bares tattoos on his right shoulder, saying "Ysmir" picturing a blue dragon over a cloud.
Physique: Derrik is a strong Nord, with a very muscular body. His hair is in short military style. He wears a blue head-band around his hair.
Other aesthetic details: Three scars go vertically across his torso, one directly up the middle, and one at each side.
Equipment/Pockets/Pouch: Keeps a couple of health potions for each battle, along with bandages. He keeps 800 septims in a small pouch, as his own personal money.
What you are good at: A natural skill for the use of swords and axes in battle. Derrik also possesses somewhat of a persuasive personality, allowing him to have moderate success in politics. His skills with a bow are not to be heavily relied upon, but can certainly fell a few deer, likewise this applies to men and mer aswell. Althoughlacking the skills of a mage, he has learnt a few basic frost spells. Not only great at keeping his troops obedient, his one-on-one fighting abilities are certainly above average. Trained in the art of heavy armor, with some schooling in war tactics.
What you are bad at: He cannot cast much magic due to his low mana reserves, as such a tall man, a Nord at that, he is horrible at being sneaky, and his fingers fumble when presented with a lock and pick. Light armor isn't useful to him, and he doesn't like using maces. Average speed, weighed down by his armor, makes him slightly slower.
Weapons: Bares a large Nordic steel one sided battle axe, along with a 2 foot Nordic broadsword. His axe features many Nordic carvings in it, ancient Nordic symbols. The axe goes over his right shoulder, slung over on a strap, while the broadsword rests at his waist.
Armour: Wears mail, and Nordic steel plates over it. He wears a Steel helm over his head, featuring 2 black horns, 1 coming out from each side, curving up. The helm features a pull down steel face guard on a joint, shaped like a square coming down, with a triangle coming of of it, along with a diamond shaped steel end coming down below his shield.
Clothing: He wears a thin linen shirt, along with thin linen pants under his armor.
Mentality/Mental description: He is a very smart Nord, with a good sense of humor. He is loving to his friends and family, and respects his enemies. However, he fights them to the best of his ability. However, he is quick to revenge, and in that state of mind, he is merciful, but berserking.
Short Biography: Derrik grew up in White Run, his father one of the head military generals of Skyrim. He was trained from a young age in the arts of tactics and combat, excelling at both through training. He eventually enrolled in the Nordic army, being prosperous, and advancing. Soon enough, he was called to aid Bruma, who had turned from the crumbling Empire. With the Empire in ruins, he plans to make alliances, and keep Bruma for Skyrim.

Rank: General of White Run
Faction Name: Republic of Skyrim
Troop Numbers: 15,800
4000 White Run Footsoldiers: White Run's famous infantry. The city's military has grown powerful, and these men are the backbone of such an army. They wear steel armor, and bear pikes, along with large, square steel shields. Carrying steel longswords and sidearms. They are more than capable of succeeding with the testudo and phalanx formations.
1800 Neugrad Pikemen: Wearing iron chainmail and briastplates, and carrying pikes and large square iron shields, they carry steel longswords as sidearms and fill the same role as White Run's footsoldiers.
1000 Beserkers: Assembled from the Mead Halls of Skyrim, these men wear little in the way of armor, however their shock value is still huge, despite the relatively small size of this unit. They go into battle with a mad desire to kill; each man is one of the finest that Skyrim can offer, easily towering most other soldiers, even fellow Nords. Armed with large axes, they are at the tip of an infantry assault, inspiring friends and disheartening foes in their apparent invulnerability.
3000 White Run Heavy Cavalry: Wearing heavy steel armor, these men carry steel lances, steel kiteshields, and steel longswords as sidearms.
3000 Limalten Light cavalry: Riding fast, unarmored horses, these men carry spears, with a sabre at their side. Armored in light leather and fur armors.
1000 Mounted Crossbowmen: Nearly identical in appearance to the light cavalry, their primary weapons is a repeating crossbow, designed to fire 10 bolts before having to reload. The downside of this repeating crossbow, is it takes a little longer to reload, has shorter range, and fires smaller bolts. A quiver hanging from the horse holds about 70 bolts.
1000 Nordic knights: These knights are coated in steel, with fine lances. They are elite cavalry, the most skilled of cavalry, composed of the greatest of the city's territory. Visual
1500 Riverwood Archers: They are armored in mail, and use strong, longranged composite bows as their weapon. They are able to hit a target from a good half of a kilometer.
100 Vanguard of the North: These Nords wear Nordic steel armor, enchanted with Nordic frost magic. They bear great steel longswords. They are skilled warriors, and usually do not fight in battle, but stay with the general. They are among the greatest warriors in Skyrim, and cannot be openly exposed in combat, do to their small unit size. The armor and weapons are enchanted, with frost shield, resist damage, and the sword is equipped with frost damage.
Siege Weapons
5 Large Trebuchets: Trebuchets of great range, these are packable, but take a while to pack. They are able to hit targets from a kilometer away. They usually hurl large stones and debris, and on occasions enemy soldiers. The inside of the throwing part is covered with strapped leather, allowing it to through flaming substances.
50 men work the trebuchets
10 Onagers: These are mini wheeled catapults, firing stones and debris at the enemy. These may turn on their wheels, allowing some mobility. The inside of the throwing part is covered with strapped leather, allowing it to throw flaming substances.
50 men work the onagers.
20 Scorpios: The Scorpios are dart throwers, capable of shooting 3 bolts a minute at the opposing army. Visual
The Scorpios are each operated by 3 people, that person usually having quite a many arrows.
60 men work the scorpios
300 Mobile trap shields: A foot and a half thick, these "mobile walls" are covered in green hides to help prevent fire, and each spike has a rough iron plate roughly the size of a small shield behind them, bolted to the wood. These spikes run all along the fifteen feet, close enough together that it is unlikely anyone could run into it and not get impaled. Jumping over is a difficult task without magical means, seeing as how they stand eight feet tall. The spikes are mostly iron, with some having a few wooden, and some even having a few old and broken swords mounted on for good measure. Rolled along on four large wheels, and mounted on a heavy wooden truss, reinforced by iron. Can be rendered stationary through the use of long, barbed pegs that stick into the ground, attached to the object by iron chains.

Actual Age: 120
Height: 5' 11"

Eye Colour: Red
Significant Markings: None
Physique: Athletic, but her strength, although above that of the average Dunmer, is equivalent to that of a male Imperial.
Other aesthetic details: Easily-impressed by someone's good looks and physical capabilities, especially if they happen to be either a Dunmer or a Breton.
Equipment/Pockets/Pouch: A couple of repair hammers, lockpicks, and a variety of different poisons.
What you are good at: Conjuration, illusion, public speaking, and guerrilla warfare
What you are bad at: Taking advice, even good advice, from people she does not like. She also sees Imperial and Altmer as guilty until proven innocent, and the opinions Argonians and Khajiit as invalid.
Weapons: Fine Steel Claymore
Armour: Pit Cuirass, Dwarven Greaves, Pit Boots
Clothing: Blue Silk Shirt, Jewelled Amulet
Miscellaneous: She wears a shawl to conceal her identity if necessary
Mentality/Mental description: Whilst she is an ashkhan with the confidence to batter down the sixist accusations levelled at her pride by traditionalists even more fanatical than herself, she does not stand on ceremony unless speaking with foreigners and does not pretend that she is above the accessible pleasures. She is far more expedient than her ancestral creed dictates, and although she presents what are sometimes antagonistic views to her Ashlanders and her enemies she is always able to justify her actions, or else allows her position to cast doubt on any claims made against her. An ambitious firebrand, she lets her cultured Ashland birth give her well-founded self-respect which is then conveyed to her associates, and although she is often seen as an authoritatarian leader she is willing to take advice, if she expects her tribe to take her advice in return, provided she can defend it with logic. She is also honest; no matter what, she won't lie to someone.
Short Biography: Born in the Ashlands, she became involved in a power struggle as her father crippled himself and the tribe in paying off debts to the Zainab, who had already taken a considerable amount in raids, and the rewards of being sponsored by House Hlaalu. Her sister, Sakira, was a priestess of Boethiah, and so did nothing as Clanholder Nirabi and Gulakhan Assamma-Idan attempted to gain political power in the tribe, and over the young Ashina by teaching her their own ways and enforcing their own views. Assamma-Idan taught her how to fight a war, and Nirabi taught her what to do and why, and the two of them made a brilliant military genius of the young girl, who quickly won back lost land and some of her tribe's lost prestige in raids and ambushes, often against the Ashland code of honour, which left many of the Zainab tribe's best officers slain in the wilderness. Her seduction of the Zainab ashkhan, which resulted in his murder by Sakira, Nirabi, and Assamma-Idan, who had been waiting for him, gained her much power amongst the tribesmen. She at once became the de facto leader of the Zelaku, although the Zainab appealed to House Hlaalu. The two staged a coup in the Zelaku camp, which saw the ashkhan, many of his officers, and most of the tribe murdered. Ashina, however, had been warned of the attack by Azura, who made the young Dunmer her priestess before allowing her to lead the rest of the tribe away from the camp, which she burned. The Hlaalu and their supporters were burned, and a Zainab raid was ambushed in its camp as it, without having done any fighting, celebrated victory. However, Ashina had no choice but to leave the Ashlanders, and, with her scouts claiming that the Morag Tong were in pursuit along with House Hlaalu militiamen, she left Morrowind. In Cyrodiil, she began a guerrilla war, but the two sides battled to a draw which left much of the north of the province impoverished. However, she herself escaped, and now seeks a way back to her native Ashlands so she can relight old flames and begin her war again.

Rank: Ashkhan
Faction Name: Zelaku Tribe
Troop Numbers: 6600
Troop Description: 2500 Zelaku Tribesmen (light infantry and missile troops), 500 Zelaku Archers (heavy infantry and missile troops), 500 Zelaku Kogovvarden (shock infantry), 1000 Zelaku Warriors (light infantry), 500 Nordic Slaves (shock infantry), 1000 Redoran Mercenaries (heavy infantry), 500 Foyada Galley Crews (specialist missile infantry), 50 Foyada Galleys (ships), 50 Cliff Racers (air force)
Name of troops:
Zelaku Tribesmen (2500): These soldiers are simply armed tribesmen capable of the fanatic excesses required of them, and they stand by the ancient Ashland proverb of 'here in our Ashlanders and our wild places, they are no match for us.' They are experienced, but untrained and undisciplined, guerrilla fighters who make good use of rough terrain to get the best of professional soldiers, but who should not be expected to hold their ground on an open battlefield except when supporting heavier infantry. Many of them are experienced hunters, having provided food for their families rather than contributing to the tribe's supplies, and as a result are skilled users of their powerful eastern compound bows. Lightly armoured with chitin weapons.
Zelaku Hunters (500): These are Ashina's best hunters, who often go out hunting just as they did in the Ashlands, and are capable of fighting Cyrodiil's creatures in melee after showering them with arrows. They are the officers of the tribe, and do not depend on rough terrain, although it is a significant advantage. They are considerably stronger than the Zelaku Tribesmen, and just as athletic, and with their light armour they can outrun almost anything on the battlefield. Wearing whatever can be mined from Red Mountain, and wielding chitin weapons.
Zelaku Kogovvarden (500): The heavy infantry of the Ashlanders, including everything from the defenders of the camp to the ceremonial guard of the ashkhan. They are shock infantry, wielding claymores, battleaxes, and powerful illusion and destruction magic. When in combat, some among them are the equivalent of town guards, whilst others are a match for the Imperial Legion. They are often equipped with armour and weapons created from materials mined by the tribesmen, and thus have superior equipment to even their professional enemies. Wearing and wielding weapons made out of whatever can be mined from Red Mountain, and sometimes Dwarven armour.
Zelaku Warriors (1000): The soldiers of the tribe, experienced in raiding over long distances either in the wilderness of the Ashlands or the streets of a Great House settlement. They are fast and cunning warriors, trained to fight for individual glory rather than as a unit. Although outdated, this is still an effective system of fighting, and whilst it is true that many of these soldiers are undisciplined many have been surprised by their fanaticism and brutality, and to be surprised by such a ruthless opponent is to be slain on the battlefield. Wearing chitin and glass armour.
Nordic Slaves (500): Any of these men and women still has Nordic skill in combat, further enhanced by their anger at the beatings and torture they are often subjected to and their slaver's use of illusion magic and powerful potions when unleashing them on the battlefield. Some may be employed as assassins, to blend in amongst the enemy's soldiers before they cut them down in their camp. They may be unarmoured, and possibly unarmed, but the sight of them will make weaker soldiers flee, and they may slow down an enemy or batter them before being forced to flee. Wearing cheap leather or chitin, and fighting with whatever they can find.
Redoran Mercenaries (1000): The Redoran who fought the Nordic invasion have now given their swords to the only united army that Morrowind has - that of Ashina Zelaku. Elite warriors, although not often trusted by Ashina and her Ashlanders for their worship of the 'false gods,' they have traditional Dunmer equipment and professional morale made into fanaticism by their clan loyalties and religious beliefs. Wearing traditional Redoran heavy armour, including tower shields, and wielding steel weapons.
Foyada Galley (50 x 10): These ships are traditional sailing craft seen at many port towns in Vvardenfell, and can be changed into warships should it be required. They are light enough for their crews to take them long distances over land, and small enough to avoid being seen by patrols, and to sail on rivers. Often employed for reconnaissance, their raiding parties can surprise camps, patrols, and settlements to confuse the defenders and take back a lot of slaves, food, and weapons. The crews are equipped with chitin and leather armour and weapons.
Cliff Racer (50): Having taken a small number of them from Morrowind, Ashina's air force quickly became larger, and now she has over fifty of these animals in her armies. They are useful for attacking supply lines, and, if they are employed, for bringing down Imperial airships. They are armoured in leather, but don't really need weapons, and wouldn't be able to use them anyway.
WootzName: Khagan Maysarah al-Nasir
Race: Ra Gada
Gender: Male
Age: 61
Physical Description: At 5'10, he possesses the average skin colour for his race, along with slightly wavy, stringy black hair that reaches down to the middle of his back. The one thing that is odd about him however, are the icy blue eyes that peer out of his skull, an unnatural colour for his race made even stranger by the star shaped cataract in his right eye. A few wrinkles can be visible, mainly at the corners of his eyes, and his nose has a slight curve to it. Rough facial hair covers his entire chin, upper lip, and the bottom part of his cheek. Although his body is weathered, it is not withered. Maysarah is still more capable than many half his age, retaining much of his former strength and fitness. Can change appearances from a seasoned, fearsome warrior, to pampered royalty in moments. Often wears his hair under some sort of headwrap.
Skills: A master of swordsmanship, relatively decent with a mace or axe, and a master at the use of spears and polearms, Maysarah can fight with nearly any weapon of war, but a bow becomes nothing but a piece of wood in his hands. Can fight effectively in scale and mail armor, anything much heavier weighing him down too much. Magic is as foreign as the lands of Argonia to him, even though he has been there, and every other province, learning all languages but Hist. His only magical knowledge resides in his knowledge of runes and books. Knowledgeable of culture, primarily Hammerfall culture but has either read about or visited most of the other provinces. Through his career, travels, and reading, he has learned of militaries and tactics, and combined with his other experience helps him solve even the most difficult problems.
Weapons: Carries a fine steel Yatagan, given to him by his father. The Yatagan bears several yokudan runes, and bears an enchantment that keeps it from ever tarnishing or wearing down, and makes the blade slightly more deadly against enemies. When going into battle he also carries his Kattara, worn from years of use. Other than these two blades, he will use whatever weapon necessary for the task at hand.
Armour/Apparel: Outside of battle Maysarah can be seen in a black long sleeved robe, loose enough to allow movement with slits at the knees, and a black turban. In battle he wears a nasal helm, mail hanging down over the sides and back of the neck, and a light mail hauberk, with scale cuirass, vambraces, gauntlets, and half greaves. All of his armor has a golden colour to it. Wears a black silk shirt and pants underneath, along with a gambeson.
History: Born to a high ranking officer in Sentinel, his father taught him many aspects of combat and the art of war, but he also preached the importance of knowledge. A man who can fight well, will become a great soldier, but one who truly understands fighting, in all forms and from every angle, will become a great man. Maysarah pledged himself to the Kingdom of Sentinel as soon as he could. For years he stayed within the kingdom, fending off bandits and nomads, but he grew tired. Tamriel was far to big to limit oneself to such a seemingly small portion of it. He became a guard of Sentinel's ships, travelling the coasts of Hammerfall, High Rock, Skyrim, and landing once in Anvil. Still it just wasn't enough. With a long owed favor and a bit of gold, he bought himself passage to Summerset Isle. Soon after arrival, he was gathered along with many other men, mostly foreigners, to work for a local Noble. Seems this particular man had a large mine, and the Goblins working it had gotten out of control. Unfortunately, the Noble had little troops of his own, and no city or fellow nobleman dared to lend a hand. The goblins were destroyed in a fierce battle, Maysarah himself venturing into their cave to finish the last of them, along with their shaman. After a few other assorted jobs, he was hooked on being a man-for-hire. The next six or so years of his life, were spent all across Tamriel. Aiding the Bosmeri in their fight against the Khajiit, and then the Khajiit in their fight against the Bosmer, fighting in tribal disputes in Black Marsh, and even once working as a miner in Morrowind. He travelled wherever he could, doing whatever job was available, all the while learning as much as possible from the locals and reading a great deal of literature along the way. At the age of 30, he decided to slow down and joined the Imperial Legion. Other than a few minor skirmishes, most of his time with the Legion was spent as guarding or patrolling one thing or another, but he continued to hone his fighting skills, and learnt the way that they fought. After several promotions, and a careful look at his experience, he was chosen for a spot on the Elder Council. Up until now he had served as a diplomat and military advisor, returning to visit Hammerfell once or twice. When the Council ultimately fell to pieces, Maysarah fled as fast as he could to Anvil. After rallying the people to his cause and making an agreement with Count Corvus Umbranox, he sent several messengers to Hammerfell, relaying news of the events that had happened and requesting troops. Troops were sent, for gold, for glory, to claim land for Hammerfell, and some simply because of favors owed and friends made.
Rank: Khagan
Faction Name: The Yokudan Confederacy
Troop Numbers: 19 000
Sentillian Cataphracts (3000): These men are clad from head to toe in plated mail, and their horses are likewise armored in a medium scale armor, the standard of Sentinel clearly visible when they ride. The Cataphracts have a relatively small steel roundshield on their back, and carry a 4 metre long Kontos, with a spiked mace or a heavy sword at their side.
Sentillian Horse Archers (2000): Wearing a hardened leather lamellar cuirass, leather braces and greaves, these archers ride fast desert horses, often firing on the enemy to soften their lines in support of a charge. Their primary weapons are composite bows made of horn and sinew. A quiver of about 70 arrows hangs from the horse's flank, and they all carry steel Qama shortswords at their sides.
Sentinillian Pikemen (3000): Primarily wielding a 5 metre long pike, these men also have Qama's for melee combat. Wearing mail greaves, kettle hat helmets, and steel briastplates. For added grip, each man wears leather gloves. Unlike much of Hammerfell's infantry, these soldiers are disciplined just as much as any Breton pikemen. Can form effective Phalanxes and pike squares.
Sentillian Archers (800): Wearing leather bracers and a hardened leather lamellar cuirass, they are armed with the same bows as their mounted counterparts, and carry steel Qama shortswords. Trained to fight in formations, they can also fire on the run.
Sentillian Sailors (200): Although accustomed to fighting at sea, these sailors have been given hardened leather lamellar armor and similar bucklers. From trade with High Rock, these men have acquired arbalests, and each man carries a steel cutlass at their side.
Totambu Mounted Throwers (2000): Professional soldiers mounted on fast desert horses, they are armored in wicker cuirass's and leather vambraces and greaves, with a wicker shield and a sling containing a dozen javelins.
Totambu Spearmen (1000): Carrying a spear in their right hand and a wicker shield in their left, these men are trained and disciplined soldiers, wearing mail hauberks and leather armor. Steel Kaskara longswords at their sides.
Bashkir Warriors (3000): Although untrained in formations, and with little discipline, the Warriors of the nomadic Bashkir tribe are very skilled and possess a certain intensity few can match. Best unleashed rather than manouevered like other troops, these warriors carry several short spears, one in their right hand, and then two behind their wicker shields. Axes and blunt weapons are the most common, but swords are not unheard of. Wicker Cuirasses.
Bashkir Archers (1400): As hunters, these men are skilled with a bow, but can also fight effectively with spears and light axes. Wearing dried animal skins, the archers are equipped with bows made from horn and animal sinew, along with light axes made from bone at their sides.
Afshar Dromedary Warriors (2600) Alik'r Nomads mounted on hardy one-humped camel's. Wearing a mixture of leather lamellar armor and wicker armor, they all have wicker shields across their backs, along with samshir's at their sides. Carrying bows made from horn and sinew, along with a quiver of 70 arrows. Each dromedary has a sling on it's right side containing three javelins.
