If Cyrodiil was real...

I'd be a dunmer lass, living in Skingrad (gorgeous architecture, love the layout - oh, and the count's a babe!). I would live in Cheydinhal with my fellow dark elves, as I find the buildings, the land and the interiors there beautiful as well... but I much prefer the West Weald to the Valus Mountains in terms of surrounding area. I find the pastures, the countryside and the vineyards to be the perfect environment!

I would choose Skingrad. I like the metropolitan feel, the other cities, Chorrol especially, feel far too empty. Lovely fields right outside my doorstep, the Elsweyr city of Riverwood nearby (loved it in the Anequina mod!), the great forest not far above with lots of little towns including a town I modded in which is awesome. Pretty central location, Kvatch, Chorrol and Bravil all pretty close, the lovely winery, the scenic hillside where the castle is, and so on. Also, no useless shops like bookshops (there's only 3 per city so I prefer it when they make them useful ones).

Give it a second look, really...

...for me it's Frostcrag Spire, Jerall Mountains (my HQ)

Yes! What more could you want than an inaccesible wizard's tower atop a mountain?

You make a compelling case, I might have a second home in Skingrad :D And town mod? Have you released it? If its true about it being lovely, I would love a link.

:stare: Bookstores are amazing.

Ah, well sort of. I'll link you too it, but it only looks lovely (and only in my opinion) because I haven't done any interiors or NPCs yet. Here it is. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=37409

But bookstores? Never had a use for them in Oblivion. Though I suppose if I were a real person in Skingrad, I would be more interested in reading.

Also, for location, I think the great forest and the West Weald are the nicest, but I do really love the marshy thick environment of Blackwood.

You've just given me a project.

I like them. They're the stores I use the most. I enjoy the literature in Oblivion.

What? Finishing my town?

If so, I'd be fine with that. I'm fairly new to the CS and modding, so I'm sure you'd do a better job. I have another town I'm working on anyway, which is in the Blackwood region.

Or maybe you're thinking of making your own?

For me either the Imperial City or Chorrol because not only do I like the city, but It's also right next to Battlehorn Castle and the Colovian Highlands, which is my favorite region.

The question should be if Cyrodil was real with FCOM mod, then where would you be... :eek:

Skingrad for me definitely. It was the first city I came across in Oblivion on my first day of playing the game. I have fond memories of it, because I didn't really know what was going on and I discovered so much about the game there. Also, I really like the layout of Skingrad. It's really charming. :)

1) Anvil, Cheydinhal or Bruma...
~~~Anvil~~~
Pros- Nice people :D , nice architecture, harbor, good for trading, resident hokerr is friendly, pretty.
Cons- Rather timid haunted house :bolt: , desecrated chapel, Gray Fox hometown, DB badguy hometown.
~~~Cheydinhal~~~
Pros- Nice looking river, :yes: pretty architecture
Cons- Resident hokerr is a bastard :swear:, DB sanctuary area, Home of the Knights of the Thorn *shudder*.
~~~Bruma~~~
Pros- SNOW!!! :ahhh:, Pretty houses...
Cons- Damn cold :cold: , Mythic Dawn hideout, Imminent Siege.
Gotta go with Anvil
2) Gold Coast, Heartlands
Gold Coast = Anvil
Gold Coast.
[snip]
Heh, interesting way to look at it. I just thought of the prettiest town and the people I liked the most.
Good choice, though. I like Anvil.
Chorrol or Leyawiin. Love the way Chorrol is laid out and where it is located.
Leyawiin for also the place it is located and it's architecture, though I would hate that racist impereal scum!
Skingrad and Chorrol had to be my favorite towns. I love Anvil because of the sense of adventure. (idea that you can leave Cyrodiil)
