Also, Umbra's lack of any type of magic damage meant that by high levels, it was pretty much worthless except as a means to recharge the good magic weapons you enchanted with Sigil Stone magic.
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Shivering:Shadowrend, they are at best equal to umbra's. depending if the wiki means its top damage is before or after using master repair skill. i can see why i forgot about it though, i hate two handed weapons. so i would have never used shadowrend and thrown it out as soon as i got it.
Edit: daedric claymores in morrowind did 1-80 damage in chop i believe, and with enchantments i was always able to make them superior to every thing else that game had.
