Daedric Armor

Post » Tue Oct 19, 2010 5:10 pm

I checked some of the guides and couldn't find this, so I hope this isn't something that everyone knows. I always started out my characters by practicing my spell casting over and over. I found that if you cast the Create Item spell you could make simple clothes that you could then sell which came in handy. Then I found that if you continue to do this as your magic skill level increases, you will start making random elven and dwarven armor pieces and weapons. By the time I had maxed spell casting I had created a complete set of Daedric armor and a Daedric longsword and accrued a small fortune from sales. I hope that this helps.

Yea, Create Item is one of my favorite effects. And you'll never find it unless you poke around the spell maker! Basically means that you will never run out of arrows or ever want for a backup weapon when your primary breaks.

Exactly! I always started out with a cheap Create Item spell to practice with. I think that it is the most useful spell next to Recall.

It's also the easiest least incredibly difficult way to get a set of silver armor, if you're so inclined.

I didn't know you could create items with the spellmaker. I've never really toyed with it. (The only spell I created, years ago, was a simple "Light" spell.)

I'm still learning new things about this game. :D

The description of the spell "create item" really gives no hint to its full capability. I just started making clothes and then to my surprise a piece of dwarven armor was mixed in, then something elvish and then adamantium. Finally I was making Daedric armor and weapons. With a lot of luck and persistance I was able to create a full set of Daedric armor with a longsword. I was surprised again when nothing in the Wiki or the guides mentioned this. It's been about ten years since I played Daggerfall and I guess this was just forgotten.
