I'm been a bit bored lately, so I've decided to study a bit of Tamrielic lore. Personally, I've always had a thing for the Daedric artifacts (especially Wabbajack). So I was wondering if you all could answer some questions for me as well as any suggestions of books to read.

1.How exactly are they created and their relationship to the Daedra Lords themselves?
2.To what extent do the Daedra Lords have on their artifacts after they are given to or stolen by a mortal?
3.Are there any particularly famous artifacts that make an appearance in Tamriel's history?
4.What artifacts are associated with what Daedra Lords? This one's not to important, so you can just refer me to books for it.

In response to one and two-
1) The artifacts are aspects of the Daedra themselves. Sort of like lending someone a leg, with the knowledge that if that leg is destroyed or 'lost' it will return to you. When you hand over a Daedric artifact to Martin near the end of Oblivion, he warns you that the artifact will not be seen again on Tamriel for many years. So once lost it is pretty much up the Daedra in question when s/he wants to let another mortal have it.
2)Thanks to Hellmouth pointing out why I shouldn't make posts at 4 in the morning- It seems there's some inconsistency on the matter of them recalling their items or controlling them. Since Nocturnal seems unable to recall her Eye. Someone else might have more to say on that subject.

It was said that the Cowl could easily be returned to her if she wanted back at any time, just as a pointer.
