Daedric Memories

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 10:41 pm

Having fond memories of Morrowind, i can remember eventually getting a full set of Daedric Armour after having the 2 add-ons (Bloodmoon + Tribunal) as each piece was hidded in some hard to find area. i know there was other ways of getting the full set i.e. killing certain npc's and console commands.

My point is it makes the items more appreciatable after having played for long hours and searching every nook-and-cranny trying to find stuff. i can remember finding my first (and only) Daedric Bow. it was up some narrow cave that you had to levitate to, to get it. there was even 10 Daedric arrows there which i never used as they were sooo rare!

so peeps, what your thoughts? keeps Daredric (and other such rare items) rare.... or plenty for everyone?

Definitely keep Daedric items extremely rare. As you said, it felt much more rewarding stumbling across weapons and armor in obscure locations, rather than seeing it on every marauder you came across.

Definitely want it to be rare. Very rare.

Should they decide that they want level scaling to be like Oblivion I will pray every night that it won't include armor.

Keep it rare, and bring back the multiple helms.

I think they should be rare, but it would depend on if there is level scaling or not.

Daedric should be rare but in Oblivion at least it made sense that it wasn't as hard to get. I mean we were being invaded by the very beings that make Daedric armor and weapons... but now that the Oblivion crisis is over I think it should once again be very difficult to find.

maybe if there is levelled scaling, they could have some items e.t.c that do not level.... to keep them AWESOME!

Yes, I want to scour the map for incredibly rare items, and feel awesome. Daederic stuff should be incredibly well hidden.

Not nearly as common as in oblivon, only extremely strong 'marauder' warlords should have a few pieces of it, not every member in the fort with full set.

But not nearly as rare as in Morrowind, where there might be only 1 of each piece, that just punches PS3 / Xbox360 players in the face, while giving console commands to PC players. Grr.

I am not the only one who thinks Daedric should be rare, the only way it even gets inside Nirn is from the occasional Daedric invasion. It is understandable why it would be so common during the Oblivion invasion. But it shouldn't in Skyrim, as to where those countless Daedric pieces should go, I say send them back to the Deadlands.

While I think Daedric armor and weapons shouldn't be everywhere, I would think that an invasion from Oblivion would have dumped a good deal of the stuff. I don't think it should be a Morrowind-level of rare.

I disagree. I'm a console player, and I'd be fine with there being only 1 of each piece. It would make finding it an awesome in-game adventure; like an unmarked quest that doesn't give you any markers or hints. You just have to go to the scariest, most dangerous places you can find, and look through every nook and cranny.

I agree fully, completely, entirely, wholly, and totally.
