Daedric Princes

Post » Thu May 19, 2011 7:27 am

In an article I read, I remember reading that all the Nine Divines and same Daedric gods were still in Skyrim. In this case, Hircine would be in control of the werewolves if they were in the game right? And if the Thieves guild is still here, is the Gray Fox and Nocturnal's cowl still here to? How would they work out Sheogorath, did the old one take over the players body over time and eventually gain his old appearance or what? Could you guys try to giveme answers on these three questions, I seem to be confused.

The Grey Fox isnt the leader of all Theives and the respeective branches and grouping...as all theivevs dont neceessarily follow a leader.

Nocturns cowl maybe.

werewolves are not confirmed, and i figure you can choose to follow hircine or not

I can't speculate on Sheo

The Gray Fox passes the cowl onto his successor, right, that would make me believe it were still here, but in the actual game? I wonder i you will even be able to become the Gray Fox again.

The dedric princes can assume any shape they want and since sheogorath is mad by definition he would change his shape over time so he will look different probably.
The gray fox to the thieves guild is immortal but in reality is a man who passes on the role to a successor.
werewolves increase usually through random surviors of a werewolf attack turning into one and when the blood moon comes which is when Hircine has his hunt...PS he does it about every 200-250 years so he is due for another blood moon.

Even if the gray fox wasn't immortal, I'm sure that the myth itself is immortal. Even if no one is around to wear the cowl, I would still expect to hear rumors and gossip about a mysterious leader of an organized group of thieves.

Same. Obviously the NM and Sithis are still here.

When it comes to the Shivering isles, I can see it happening two ways.

First, it's possible that The Hero of Cyrodiil has turned into the prince literally. Since I'm pretty sure that Jygallag is gonna stay as Jygallag.

Second, it's possible that the new Prince died, and the isles are ruled by the Dukes of Mania/Dementia, or our character picked a successor.

Sheogorath wouln't have selected a mortal price, since daedric princes can't die, therefore, it is likely, he became immortal.

Sheo is a real touchy subject, hopefully the demo will explain how he/CoC carries on but I like the theory I saw on the forums long ago that the whole SI deal was all in the PC's head

It seems more likely to me that they would include the Skeleton Key, which was associated with the actual daedric quest for nocturnal in Oblivion, than the Cowl, which was more exclusive to the Gray Fox.

I agree, otherwise it becomes far too complicated to weave into the lore. Then again, you do emerge from the Isles with gear, so it would be hard to say it just dropped out of the sky while you were dreaming about becoming the Madgod.

No. The bloodmoon is around each Era. Roughly every thousand years or so.

But Sheogorath returned to his true self, Jygallag. So he wouldn't want to become the Madgod again.

With sheogorath being his true form jyggalag and the champ of cyrodrill being the new sheo does this mean that jyggalag will have his own shrine? :ahhh:

Remember the events are 200 years after Oblivion and that it is in a different realm! Im pretty sure Sheogorath wouldnt even be mentioned being that his portal is in Niben Bay

I don't think the Gray Fox is likely to appear he was only in charge of the guild in Cyrodill and seems to have always been based around there. As for the mad god I just assumed that the Shivering isles character became the new Sheogorath in the same fashion Tiber Septim became Talos and that in Skyrim there would be a shrine to both Sheogorath and Jyggalyg.

I think Jygallag will have his own shrine since the Hero of Cyrodiil broke the cycle. So Sheogorath and Jygallag will be separate. I wonder if we gonna have a Mehrunes Dagon shrine.

But so many people like Hircine and Sheogorath, they would be hard to take out without atleast some word on what happened to them.

I wonder what the shrines will look like. I also hope they are better than the shrines in Oblivion. More than one daedric quest per prince would be cool too.

The grey fox's cowl is a quest reward from sheogorath. It should be anyways.
