Daedric Prines

Post » Mon Jun 07, 2010 5:06 am

No. Don't misunderstand him. He was just saying that Shezzar is Padomaic, i.e., he's not an Aedra.

But, he is an Aedra. He's a Padomaic Aedra. Padomaic doesn't equal Daedric, and Anuic doesn't equal Aedric, they're completely different descriptors. If they meant the same thing then we wouldn't need two words. :liplick:

But, in response to Don't forget this' post, is Shezzar even included in the Wheel design of the universe? I didn't think he was at all. (The Eight Divines and the sixteen Daedric Princes seem to complete the design by themselves)

He's in the middle.

Wait, Shezzar is included as one of the Daedra (as one of the 16 holes)? This is new information to me...

Mankar Camoran said it, so it must be true :P According to him Lorkhan is a Daedra, and Nirn is his realm. Though he really can't be counted on for much information...

However, I would debate whether or not Lorkhan ever gave any of himself up to creation. The moons and his heart are what's left of him, correct? But did he participate in his own idea? I skimmed the Monomyth again, and can't find for certain whether or not he "gave freely" like the others.

That's up for debate: some say it was willingly, others say it was forced out.

He gave. The difference is that he gave everything, while the others just gave parts.

more can always be added when a proper scenario and a reasonable, well, reason, to add them is presented and available :) . theoretically, there could be more as, from what i can tell, not every major world-ruling concept or idea is covered by the known Princes. but that just might be my wishful thinking :D .

Mundas (The center of the wheel) isn't Lorkhan, It is/was Kynerith's plane. That was his sacrifice: the loss of his space in the Wheel.

I know Padomaic=/=Daedra, but it does= a hole in the wheel, or I would assume so. I'm not really sure about the Jygglyag thing thoug, because Merida isn't really padomaic (Life is a constant, right?) and so that opens up a space for him.

It could be a possibility that there were some that are just so weak or "useless" that no one worships them, but then would they be princes?

No. Mundus is Lorkhan's. Kynareth is the Goddess of Air. Don't forget that Lorkhan is the originator of the idea of Life in the first place.

So guys, I started a separate thread for this discussion of The Wheel, as the OP started this one for discussing only Daedric Princes. I know that the two are very much connected, but I thought that discussing The Wheel as a whole concept warranted its own thread. Post there if you wanna.

Hmm... But wouldn't the Daedra in creating their realms have given all of themselves to the creation of what is, in essence, themselves? If their planes are them, then they consist of everything that is them, so could Mankar be right in that Nirn is Lorkhan's, with bits of the Aedra in it?

It sounds incredulous, but it was just the first thing that came to mind. Nothing ventured nothing gained, afterall :)

EDIT: Oh darn, now I feel like I was spamming the OP's thread.

The Princes used aetherial refuse to make their realms. They cut no pieces of themselves off or altered themselves.
