Daedric Weapons And Lore

Hey, Does anyone know which item was sacrificed during Oblivion MQ and which we won't see in Skyrim.

We should already have an idea of what rare artifacts we won't be seeing.

Artifacts missing from Morrowind > Oblivion (just a quick list, there may be many more)

Scourge
Chrysamere
Fang of Haynekhtnamet
Spear of Bitter Mercy (though with no spear in the game this was an obvious drop)
Ebony Mail
Eleidons Ward

So, we know at least one of the ones that made the cut into Oblivion will disappear.

While a Daedric artifact was consumed during the course of Oblivion, there's nothing stopping the Daedric prince who made it from remaking it.

I won’t ask what you went through to obtain this, my friend. I know all too well the depravity of the princes of Oblivion. Are you ready to give me the artifact? Remember, this ritual will consume its physical form. It won’t be seen again on Tamriel for many years.

Key thing to note is that he said many years, not forever.

Well which artifact that was to be sacrificed was up to the player so I think Bethesda will have some kind of lore-loop or something that will bring them all back.

Must not have been paying attention fully to what he was talking about, and as skyrim is 200 years later, easily Lore solvable. cheers (b'.')b

although i would like to see some of the old items back. maybe even the super duper rare Axe of the Bat Queen XD

I once went to the trouble of recording which games had which artifacts. The post can be seen http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1178722-searching-for-lost-relics/page__view__findpost__p__17441425.

Honestly, I'd really like to see all of the items from that book return in Skyrim, or at least the majority of them. One thing I really enjoyed doing in Morrowind was to obtain that book and then go on a treasure hunt to collect every one of those items. Unfortunately, it was only possible in Morrowind.

Better yet, a "Skyrim Lore" book, where instead of doing the Oblivion thing and not including most of the items, make sure that all the items in the book are available in the game. It could be even longer, as some items were only found in morrowind, and again with Oblivion some items were completely new there. So with "Skyrim Lore, they could have some completely new ideas for items that have been in Skyrims Province for hundreds of years, with lore and everything.

Even better, though I'd like to see the return of some artifacts, like Chrysamere. I think that's one of Oblivion's biggest faults is not having enough unique artifacts. Going treasure hunting for unique artifacts is one of my favorite things to do in TES games.

I agree. In Oblivion you're almost limited to just the quests and even the artifacts are tied to quests. I just want to see random huge dungeons that have a great artifact at the bottom and no quest tied to retrieving it.

Like finding Eleidon's Ward for the first time?

some of the really rare rings (warlocks and Phynaster's)

i hunted down every single location of every rare item in the game, still remember where most of them are, i'll remember the more i play.

Edit: One more thing.

Can anyone explain to me why there is both Boethia's Shrines and Malacath's Shrines? Isn't it by lore Boethia was changed into Malacath when he ate the Altmeri ancestor spirit, Trinimac. Changing the elves who worshiped him into Orsimer or more commonly "Orcs"

In morrowind you even rebuild a broken Boethia shrine. saying how he was forgotten and wants to be known. are they 2 different gods now?

edit 2: upon reading alot closer, i can see that Trinimac apparently became Malacath (or rumored to be)
