Dagger Fall under Win XP?

Erm, before we get started you HAVE TO KNOW

Windows XP Service Pack 3
733mhz
512mb RAM

With that out of the way, i might also tell you, Dagger Fall runs to slowly in DOS Box, and because my computers crap, increaseing CPU Cycle sand stuff only makes it worse.

That being said, is there a way to run Daggerfall without using DOSBox? Cause for normal DOSBox games, i can just go into there .exe, go to the programs tab, uncheck close on exit, go to advanced and check the "Use compatible software emulation", go to memory, check all the boxes and put all the numbers as high as they go, and the DOS game works fine under windows.

I tried that with this, but when i run DAGGER.exe, a error comes up saying the start up irectory is invalid, saying i need to check the PIF file...

...Wheres the pif file? :(

Sorry, DOSBox is the only method that really works.

Can you set up a Win95/98 partition? That would work very well, because your computer just isn't fast enough to run DOSbox.

I agree. A Win98 or DOS 6.22 partition with a slowdown app would be your best bet. DosBox needs a hefty processor to run Daggerfall smoothly, whereas in real DOS your processor would be too fast :P
