Hello,

I was stoked to find Daggerfall released for free, one of my all time gaming regrets was not grabbing it off the shelf when I first saw it because I never saw a copy again. I got a lot of play out of one of the demos back in the day though.

I've been through the installation process, no huge dramas so far except that sometimes I can't swing my weapon.

However I noticed that I seem to have a ton of locations already marked on my world map. Is this standard? Is there anything I can do if it is not standard to restore the "unknown" elements? I kind of want to explore on my own.

Yes, that's normal. The map is filled with locations from the start, but that's not all the locations. There are still unknown places.

There's around 100 dungeons in Daggerfall kingdom which you can't see. You only see cemeteries, towns, homes and temples. Cemeteries are good for a quick dungeon crawl and looting. They're about the same size as Morrowind burial chambers.

lol yea they are nothing compared to the real sized dungeons.

If ya want to find these unmarked dungeons, quest is ya best bet.
