I recall a while back, it may have been among demos, it may have been prerelease content, but there was a rather interesting "bestiary" for Daggerfall. Gave a description of the creature and had an animation of it as well. I've also heard rumors that these animations were more fluid - having more frames than the final ones in the game did, as the intermediate ones were cut out for space constraints.

They're on the Daggerfall Interactive Preview disc, which includes all kinds of neat things if you're willing to poke around. If no one can find it let me know and I'll re-upload a disc image.

And yeah, the Bestiary has MUCH more fluid animations than the final game. I'm not even sure they were cut from the disc, I just don't think the game reads them.

I'll look around a bit and then PM you for an image if I can't find it. The animations crossed my mind since it'd be neat to return them through DaggerXL or something. I recently watched the Battlespire trailer and was amazed at how fluid the animations were for the creatures.

I don't think the song has any specific name. It might even be with the music that shipped with the retail game; it's just not used.

Rip it through DOSBox (Ctrl+F6 I think does audio only) or try and jury-rig it into your ARENA2 folder, so Daggerfall Jukebox can read it.
