Since im running a rather bad computer at the moment, due to lightning related catastrophy, Ive decided that I am going to play daggerfall until its entirely unintuitive (from my point of view anyway) gameplay becomes sane. Ive been putting it off waaay too long. And I'm doing okay so far. I die a lot but, yeah.

What I really hate though, is the birds. Those godawful loud loud birds. Is there a way to make them...stop? Without shutting off other sounds? Because, my god, they are annoying.

...Seriously, though, I'm afraid there isn't one as far as I'm aware, except possibly by hacking something; and judging from what I can see just looking around, there hasn't been much done as far as sound hacking is concerned.

Do you mean that bright chirping/tweeting sound that plays at random in cities? If it's really killing your enjoyment of the game, I'd be happy to create a modified DAGGER.SND file for you with the bird noises zeroed out.
