I have a question and I'm hoping someone could help me figure something out. I just recently bought a used copy of the Elder Scrolls 2 guide and on page 12 there's a really useful guide that tells you who the Patron God is of each city. I find this especially useful since I like to RP my characters. The thing I'm confused about is the list has Patron God and then Patron God Alpha and I don't understand what the difference is.

For example, Daggerfall's Patron God is Kynareth but the Patron God Alpha is Dibella. If I wanted to rp a character that stays true to the lore, which of the two gods would they worship or would it be both?
