Daggerfall exploration screenshot

There is a http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1016352, but why not screenshots of your explorations ?

Certainly Daggerfall due to its default 320*200 resolution displays lot of pixels (more or less filtered depending on the scaler you choose in your DOSBox), but i think there are some nice things to capture.
Too bad Bethesda have not made a 640*480 resolution like they did in their "The Terminator: Skynet" or "Battlespire" that used the same Xngine as Daggerfall and allowed to play in 320*240 and 640*480 , it would have sure enhanced those pixel display a very lot.

Anyways, if you are new to computers or internet functions :
To make screenshots from your DOSBox-Daggerfall sessions, just press "Print Screen" located on your keyboard.
Then open Paint that is a part of Window, or other similar programs (from the free and very nice http://www.irfanview.com/ to the expensive photoshop) and click Edit then Paste, resize or cut unwanted part if you want then save the pictures in JPG format and upload them on some image hosting website, like http://imageshack.us/.

To start with something :

You know, it wouldn't hurt to save them as PNGs or Photoshop-quality JPEGs - don't bother saving them as low resolution JPEGs as you just kill what little quality a 320x200 game has. :P

I've got a ton of pics up in my http://s6.photobucket.com/albums/y217/Jormungandr83/Daggerfall/.

To make screenshots from your DOSBox-Daggerfall sessions, just press "Print Screen" located on your keyboard.
Then open Paint that is a part of Window, or other similar programs (from the free and very nice http://www.irfanview.com/ to the expensive photoshop) and click Edit then Paste, resize or cut unwanted part if you want then save the pictures in JPG format

DOSbox actually has a built in screenshot function: CTRL+F5 will take a screen and place it in the Capture folder in your DOSbox directory. If you don't have a capture folder, you'll have to make one yourself beforehand or it won't work.

This way, you can take as many pics as you want without having to exit to paint after each shot.

If i remember well, CTRL+F5 takes screenshot in the native resolution of Daggerfall, ignoring the fact you could play in a windowed higher resolution than 320*200.
A PRINT-SCREEN then a paste allow you to have the screenshots in the same conditions as you play, instead of the forced 320*200 screenshots obtained by CTRL+F5

That is true. I don't use scalers, so it doesn't bother me.

Just upscale the Ctrl+F5 one. At least, I find it easier than using Print Screen since I run the game in a window and am too lazy to crop it.
