Faction reputation and regional reputation are easy to understand

However I can't seem to find information on what/how the group reputations (i.e. Merchants, Peasants, Scholars, Nobles, Underworld) work

1.) As far as I can tell the only ways to change these reputations is at character creation, or through a character editor. There seems to be no quests that change these reputations, and these seem to be the only reputations that don't move one point closer to zero every month. Are these statements correct?

2.) How do these reputations exactly work? Is there some NPC reaction formula such as

NPC Reaction=C1*PER+C2*(None, Etiquette, Streetwise, or Mercantile)+C3*Group Reputation+C4*Faction Reputation+C5*LUC+C6*Random Number

I'm not sure of how it works. The way reputation works for the law depends on your crimes or being falsely accused. For other factions it changes slowly based on hardcoded logic inside the game engine. It takes a long time (several levels and guild ranks) before some factions will change their disposition towards the player. The result is subtle, a change in prices, very impressed or very rude greeting messages and some service refusals occasionally but not always. I don't think nothing really bad happens like being expelled from a guild for being too friendly with an enemy guild. The only reputation that maters is the law in each kingdom because some important nobles check it before inviting you by letter to do a main quest and it has to be positive.

I committed a small crime in the Kingdom of Daggerfall and now my reputation is Undependable so I was wondering how I could raise it?

Travel to another kingdom where your reputation will be neutral, as long as you haven't commited any crimes. stay there for at least 3 months while working for any guilds and temples you are in, then travel back to Daggerfall and your reputation should have dropped back to neutral.
