I'm not sure if he has any official god name. He's still known as Mannimarco, the King of Worms. Except now that's usually used to describe his mortal avatar. I guess Necromancer's Moon might count though.

Mannimarco, God of Worms (not king of worms, that's his mortal form) and is known as The Necromancer's Moon which orbits Arkay and constantly gives the [censored] the middle finger.

though that middle finger only does something once a week, when it generates the "shade of the revenant" phenomenon.

Wasn't at least a facet of Mannimarco returned to a mortal state via jill-mending?

King of Worms: "The Jills of Aka-tosh have mended this numidition. Mannimarco remains as he was: the high priest of maggots."

God of Worms and King of Worms are the same and yet distinct.

And I still hope they don't consider "Mannimarco" to be that foppish pansy in a bad Halloween costume. I demand a retcon.

I love how the fans' reaction to his portrayal in Oblivion was simply "Nope, nuh uh, that wasn't him." I can't think of many other games/movies/books where something has been retconned solely by popular opinion, but we seem to have pulled it off.

Woooooooo! Daggerfall Mannimarco all the way!

That guy was the real Mannimarco. Sent zombies to the player with notes nailed on it, made deals with powerful nobles, and partied with vampires, liches and had lots of naked women dancing for him. The guy was a pimp in Daggeral. That sorry excuse of Mannimarco in OB was nothing more than a piss poor doppelganger.

It's not a retcon until the devs retcon it. The fans simply won't shut up about their fanon at this point.

Remember that the ending of Daggerfall implies there might be more than one Mannimarco running around Tamriel. That said, the one we met in Oblivion is nothing more than a pathetic wannabe, given in all the cosideration that the history and appearance in Daggerfall that the series gave us.

The Mannimarco in Oblivion just seemed like a boss at the end of a cave. It doesn't seem like a good way to end such an epic character.

Probably because he have achieved "godhood". And is now up there (Necromancers Moon), drinking tea with all the others?
I always prefer to see it like that.

That Altmer wasn't a lich; the mending of the Dragon Break would have restored him to his state prior to the activation of Numidium. Since that is the case, it is impossible for that to have been the King of Worms.

Because it was so [censored] bad that it's completely unbelievable. It's a facepalm and a half, a "what the [censored] is this [censored]" of such monumental proportions that I can't see any reaction but refusing to accept it. It's called fanon. Or, alternatively, discontinuity.

I don't think we need a retcon. Warp in the West plus conventional wisdom of gods having aspects makes it pretty clear.

Well, it's the god-aspect thing. If Akatosh could be created by popular opinion accelerated by a Dragon Break, why can't Mannimarco reverse it? Where Alduin/Auri-El are both distinct from and yet are Akatosh his man-brother, Mannimarco the Necromancer and Mannimarco the god can be both distinct and yet the same being. The groundwork for making it all work how we like is all laid in the lore itself, therefore we win.
