Daggerfall on Mac OS x

Post » Tue Jul 13, 2010 3:47 am

So, I have inherited a MacBook with Mac OS X. Iv'e decided id'e like to play Daggerfall, so I downloaded Daggerfall and DOSbox. Using a combination of the official install guide and the install guide posted here, I have managed to install the game; however, when I attempt to run it, I get the message:

CRITICAL ERROR: PLEASE DELETE YOUR DAGGERFALL DIRECTORY AND RE-INSTALL

What have I done wrong, exactly? Does Daggerfall even work on Macs? Am I crazy?

Any help wold be appreciated.

Try starting from scratch, delete the your installation of daggerfall and the download and start over.

Got it running. I found a program that simplifies DOSbox for mac users, it's really helpful. I only had to drag the DFinstall folder into the program and it did most of the work. I may wright up a guide for Mac users.
