Daggerfall, I need help! : The Elder Scrolls Series Discussion

Ok, I just got the game working and now I cant attack, I got I magic attack in (no idea how I did it) and one punch, then after 10 minutes of trying to hit the thing, I died >.>

Can you tell me the basic controls for this game?

To attack you hold down the right mouse button and move the cursor on the screen in the direction you want to swing. For the magic, you've got the star icon on your hud. Click that with your mouse and then click the name of the spell you want to use. If you set the game up to have the crosshairs follow the mouse like it does in modern games, push Enter before you select things.
