err I hate this I had just bought my copy of daggerfall last night...

If it makes you feel any better, the box art, manual etc look awesome. Really awesome.

And I'm sure you'll find some game enthusiast on ebay who'd want it.

Ok, but do I make these folders inside the DOSBOX folder or what? I don't understand or know anything about DOSBOX.

Someone should make a sticky thread for those that need help, and post screenshots on exactly what to do. I can read but words can only help so much where a picture is worth a thousand words.

It really explains everything. I installed mine today after months since I last used DOSBOX. Just put everything where he tells you.

It precisely tells you to create the dosgames folder in the C:\ section.

They need the source code to port it to like DS or Wii or something, they just took the files form the CD, compressed the files in a zip and let us download it.

ok every time i start to download it it stops around 6 mb downloaded. whats wrong? should i press open or save when the file thingy comes up?

Everyone's trying to download it at once, so the server's probably crying hot salty tears of anguish. Wait a while and try again, or try a mirror.

Bethesda's server is under a very high pressure at the moment as many people are trying to download the game. So it might be better to wait and download it in a couple of days from now instead when not so many people are trying to download it.

I used the fileshack mirror and downloaded it in 3 minutes. The install instructions on TES website worked perfectly. I thought they were incredibly easy and I have no computer programming experience.

Question: Does this mean the game is Freeware? Does that mean modders/talented members of the community can take apart the code and other aspects of the game to unravel how it works with the intention of creating patches or converting resources for use on new engines?

Just wanted to let you new guys know that there are some additional quests available online. I would post the websites, but i don't know if that is allowed. I just checked. The sites are available on the Links page.
